Babble about the kid some....

Elora will be nine months old in a week.
She's got 8 teeth.
I found instructions for how to make a tutu for a baby online.
Elora's 9 month picture are going to be so cute they'll have to come with a warning label.
Here comes the whine...

She hasn't really given me any trouble fussy wise... except for lastnight.
She woke up at around 11:30pm and stayed awake off and on until about 9am. I gave her Tylenol and all but she still seemed really uncomfortable.
Went a little south of sane for a while

I was so tired I though I heard my phone going off. My phone is officially dead because I can't get the freaking thing to charge. That's right kids.... auditory hallucinations ftl
I threw my phone on the floor and told it to shut up. I may or may not have called it a few very impolite names. And said something about it's mother and her cousin having a preference for inbreeding. I don't really remember.
That would be when I took a deep breath and went into my mom and dad's room for help.
FYI:If my Dad says "Oh she's normal baby now!" one more time I'm shanking him.

Cause I've got a big head! And little arms...

My dad, mom, and I all took turns trying to sooth her. But since my dad lowered her crib mattress it's hard for me to get her in there without her waking up. I have no idea why but he put it on the lowest possible setting. I have to stand almost on tiptoe to get her out of the freaking crib!
My dad's theory was that she's been standing so much against the edge, we were all afraid she'd go to reach for something and gravity would take over. And yes I was a lot nervous about that... but now it's kind of hard to get her out of there at all.
Isn't there some kind of happy medium?
A setting in between the highest and lowest ones?
There is?!
Wait... there's TWO notches in between the top and bottom ones?
Wtf?
Why can't he just set it one lower and see how it goes?

I have three days off from work this week. I'm planning on cleaning the hell out of my room.
And I might as well change that setting if I can figure it out. It's too low for her to stand up adn get out of on her own yeah... but she does in fact need to get out somehow. If I can hardly reach her then that's a going to be a problem lol

And now a moment of cuteness...

When Elora got to bed this morning, I was curled up on the couch trying to get a hold of Kristy to see if she minded canceling our morning gym session today. I was exhausted.
About an hour after Elora went to bed (this was good considering she'd not slept more than 45
minutes at a time most of the night) she woke up again. I went in and she was doing the baby bobble head thing. The one where they're just waking up and they're still kind of half as sleep and they wobble and look at you kind of like a cross between a drunk frat kid and a cute lil' zombie.
That's normally my cue to change her diaper, get a bottle heating up, and hang with her in the living room until the bottle is ready to go. If I wait the grogginess out she's trying to climb things as she's eating. It doesn't work so well lol.

Since she'd already had her morning bottle before she went to sleep the last time, I figured I'd change her and cuddle with her until she got bored with it.
So I grabbed my giant fleece tie blanket (I think that's what Blue Bella refers to as a "taggy blanket"), wrapped us up in it and plonked down on teh couch. Flipped on The Wiggles. That's one of the few tv shows she actually seems interested in. Yes, I know I'm rotting her brain. She has a larger than average head size. It'll even out.

Elora proceeded to burrow into the covers/the crook of my arm and suck her thumb(which she hardly ever does anymore... she more often chews her fingers cause of the teething), and fall asleep again.
It was so cute that I couldn't move her. I just pulled her up onto my chest and slid to the "L" part of the couch so that if she rolled she'd hit the couch.
My dad came in about 3 and a half hours later to wake me up for work.

get a small stool- you know like kids use when they learn to potty train. Use that when lowering her in- as you don't need it when she's awake to take her out, then later use it for her in the bathroom to brush her teeth.
