There's so many articles about this.... Tuscaloosa's about 4 hours from me but it's affected a lot of us b/c just... wow. I can't believe it. I leave KS and this is what I come to. If you google "tornadoes in Alabama" and go to the videos, it's just insane.

This is insane. OMG.

I've watched videos of the tornados in Alabama on weather.com and they are crazy.
I hope everyone is okay.

The exact same system started up in Texas/Arkansas.... we got it sooooo lucky(as bad as that sounds)..we had 6 tornadoes (so far counted) here in Arkansas and 13 dead.... now we're dealing with major flooding.. its all just horrible.

I was watching the live news feed online when the tornado hit Birmingham..it was AWFUL

Yeah apparently around 50 some touched down in the area?! It's fucking insane. :-/

last count I saw was 164 tornadoes in 6 different states and close to 300 deaths.. this system was INSANE

I hope any Bloopies in those areas are staying safe!! I know quite a few people in the Southeast. I used to live in Georgia and I remember all the crazy wild storms we had and the tornado warnings and shit. One thing I definitely don't miss about living there.

I did most of my growing up in Alabama, and some people that I went to school with have lost everything. I have a lot of family in those areas, but from what I hear, all my family is okay. It's really devastating when you lose your home like that. I know that community will come together and give what's needed though. They did it for us when our house burned down in 2004, and they'll do it now. I think I'll be doing my summer closet clean-out a bit earlier this year.
