That's true. But even our more efficient cars are feeling the strain. My car gets decent mileage for being 11 years old, but it has also about an 11 gallon tank...which means I have to fill up more often...le sigh.

@Redfraggle, for a US gallon you need to multiply £1.30 by 3.7, not 3.

That's what the calculator I used said. But in that case we're paying even more!

Oh well, I needed to edit it anyways; I meant it was around $8 a gallon when you put in how many liters are in a gallon. There. xD

Where I am petrol is £1.43 I'm not sure what diesel is at the moment, I should think a couple of pence more. So that makes it £5.29 a gallon, which is $8.72 a gallon.

Downtown Seattle, I saw $4.07. I know there's a group on the eastern side of the state who say once the gas price hits $5, society will collapse. They're packing their basements with supplies and such. It's quite amusing.

People always blame Bush for the gas prices but he is not the president now...its Hussein Obama yet nobody wants to blame him for anything simply because he is black.

you can see it there. people made a hobby out of blaming bush for everything that happened in this country under his presidency, but nobody thought to blame our current president because of his race.
