@Fearless: I had one chick on my friends list who ALWAYS stepped over the line.
One time, she commented on a status I wrote (where I was upset because my neighbors boyfriend was sitting in her driveway next to my house for like a half hour and his extremely loud exhaust was preventing me from sleeping.) and said that she loves sitting in her car with her broken exhaust is broken because of how it shakes, how it smells (this one is pregnant mind you) and how it annoys everyone else. I told her that she was an idiot and that was terrible for her.
She replied with something stupid, and my friend commented, saying that it wasn't good for her as well.

This girl ended up arguing with him on my status; saying how her whole exhaust system needed to be replaced for one hole, and saying it was like a thousand dollars for it and blah blah. She just kept making herself look like a bigger and bigger idiot.

Then in her last comment said something stupid (everything she says is stupid, so I don't remember what it was) and ends her comment with (direct quote) "and you date a nig!" as in a black girl, because he has a profile picture of him and his black friend. I replied saying it was uncalled for and to take her racist bullshit someplace else.
She never said anything but updated HER status with "I love being a bitch!" thinking that she really got my friend good.

I left her a huge comment on that status telling her off, and she never replied (even though she LOVES being a bitch), I deleted her soon after.
I can't even tell you how many people this girl got in stupid arguments with in my statuses. None of her arguments ever made sense, and she always looked like an idiot. (Kinda like Fiesty, to be honest. Remember that moron?)

Most of the people on my facebook (people I went to high school with, not my bloop friends ;)) are complete idiots. Theres a couple people I have their status updates blocked because I'm sick of seeing "I don't know what to do........." or "takin a nap . . . . then . . . . I dnt kno . . . . . . . . park mayb?" [yes with the spaces between the dots] I honestly block anyone who holds down the fucking period button or types like a complete moron. But that's really it. Some people I just laugh at.

I think as for me REPLYING to stupid statuses, or ones I don't agree with, it would depend on the topic.
If someone said they're drunk and about to drive home, I'd comment and tell them point blank that they're an idiot.
Or if it's something that makes me upset, I'd definitely say something.
I don't think how long or how well you know someone has anything to do with commenting, they approved you and allow you to comment, I say go for it.

I also believe that if someone doesn't like what I post, they can hit the hide button. It's not that difficult.

It depends on the person for me. I have this one friend who will always post politically-charged, mostly controversial statuses on Facebook, but tends to get personally offended when someone has an alternate opinion. I ignore people like her. But with the friends who don't freak out over political discussions, I don't generally have any problems holding a mature conversation over Facebook.

If a person continuously posts something I don't agree with, I just hide them. If they comment something ridiculous on my status or wall, I delete the comment, if they persist, I restrict what they can see/do on my profile. I think everyones entitled to their opinions. But there's just somethings people say/do that I don't agree with. Like someone above me just said something about a pregnant friend going out drinking and partying. Alot of my old high school friends are like that, but REALLY bad, I don't agree with those sort of antics, so I will either restrict their viewing (and my viewing so I dont have to put up with seeing it) or I delete them.

I delete people, or hide them if it's someone who will take offence. If people write stuff on MY statuses that I don't like or I think other people will take the wrong way, I delete the comment.

I'm very anti-censored. I like myself that way. However, I'm mature enough not to drop an eff bomb between every word.

As for other people, it depends on the person and how strongly I disagree. If they're just a drinking buddy, for instance, and I don't really care that much, I'll just shrug it off.

I think that some people need to censor themselves a little. Some things just should not be talked about openly online. I have a cousin who absolutely broke her mothers heart because of something she rudely said on facebook. She outed a family secret that many of the younger family did not know about, nor did they need to know about. All in retaliation to something someone else had said that had NOTHING to do with what she replied with. Things like that...

I don't need to know if people a taking a dump, fucking their dog, drinking toilet water or want to bash the shit out of the postman. However if people want to put that then I can't stop them. I can hide them and choose not to read that stuff though.
I also think people should really consider what they say when they have their children on their facebooks (meaning teenagers and younger). I don't think kids should have facebook but if your kid does, and you know they're able to read the content of yours maybe you should er... shut your mouth a little when you're talking about what naughty things you are going to do to your other half, or how you like to watch porn, or how you want to run over small children, or how you think you ex is the biggest wanker (spesh if it is your childs other parent!) Just shit like that.

I recently deleted a cousin though (one mentioned above). Now I hid her statuses because she had very childish, negative and TMI status updates. That was fine, I hid her and I didn't need to see it. It was when she would come on to MY facebook profile saying inappropriate things, being rude to both me and my friends and other family members and in general just being a dickhead. I am perfectly ok with people having an opinion and sharing it if it's to do with what I'm talking about. If I write something controversial I have to expect that. But if you are just going to come and be an outright asshole then I don't need to be your friend.
