Below is a link to a petition about the DLA cuts. Frankly as a carer i know how important these benefits are to disabled people all over the UK. Most rely on these to pay bills, buy food and clothes. Not only that but they can be used for support. The benefits my partner gets for his disablilites barely give us enough to live on, and yet if i go back to working we can loose our house (which almost happened in October). It is stupid that they are cutting the benefits without the proper knowledge first. Yes i understand there are a lot of people on benefits who should be working but what about the people who physically/mentally CAN'T work? I used to work with people who had various spinal injuries some of which were permantly bedridden, couldn't talk and some who couldn't even breathe for themselves. These people need that money to buy equiptment to give them a decent quality of life. Yet the government are trying to cut everything to save their own skins due to the debts of the country.
