I must have felt like a break from writing! I did better this year than last year with my NoJoMo but I still had a couple of lapses.
I'm glad I enjoyed the lovely weather last Friday because it was the last I would see before having to return to work. I had planned to do some yard work over the weekend but Saturday dawned chilly and rainy so I was relegated to being indoors. I did some decal artwork on the computer for a project I'm working on, did a little more restructuring of the Man Room upstairs, then we went to see "Quantum of Solace". I enjoyed the movie, it was darker and more intense than the Bond movies I'm used to but I think it was more true to the original premise. I missed the gadgets though! After the movie we came home and relaxed most of the evening.
Sunday was more of the same. My wife wanted to go out and eat even though it was miserable out, we finally settled on The Cracker Barrel. Not my favorite place but it's nearby and not too expensive. I probably came back home and took a nap, a meal and rain on the roof will do that to me! Other than that, I really didn't do much the rest of the day. More decal artwork, more relaxing in the recliner. That's the nice thing about rainy weekends, I have an excuse to relax. |
