Thankfully, this weekend wasn't as adventure-packed as last weekend. No major projects like replacing a water heater this weekend!
I had sold one of my pistols on Gunbroker.com and had to ship it out, so I packed it up and carried it across town to drop it off to ship. As it happens, that was only a couple of miles from the indoor shooting range at one of the local gun shops so I packed up three pistols with ammo, my safety glasses, and my hearing protection and stopped in there while I was out. I wanted to put at least 100 rounds of various ammo through my .45, three or four magazines through my Polish 9mm Mak (since it's my normal carry gun I like to fire it every chance I get) and 50 or so through my regular 9mm. I've never used that range, the cost was quite reasonable and it's a pretty nice range. I fired probably 170 or 180 rounds total with no problems whatsoever and it only cost me $10 and change. Well, not counting the ammo...
By the time I got home it was raining, the rain lasted all afternoon and evening Saturday then until around 1PM today. At least we had some nice weather after the rain stopped, it's been in the 60s all weekend. I've worn short sleeves all weekend. I went out again later this afternoon to get the fault code read on my work car. The "Check Engine" light has been on a week or so, I had first thought it was a loose fuel cap but after cleaning and reattaching it the code never reset. The counter guy at Auto Zone read the code and it came up the oxygen sensor. I need to call tomorrow but I'm pretty sure the oxygen sensor is covered in the 10 year emissions warranty, I checked the fuse and verified that it was still good. |
