The day trip I was planning to Myrtle Beach has expanded into an overnight trip. I checked and found excellent hotel rates for the holidays in Myrtle Beach so I'll be driving over Friday afternoon and coming back Saturday evening. That way won't be too rushed, and we can take our time and see the sights. I even found a place that allows pets, I was sure that I wouldn't be able to board the dog this near the holiday.
Today has been slow at work. Probably half the department is out, and I'm the only person from my group who's here. With my boss and everyone out I took the opportunity to clean my desk. It was a real mess! Those who know me IRL know that I'm a disorganized, cluttered person and my desk showed the worst side of that trait. I have managed to get one side of it clean and organized, now I just need to go through the stacks of paperwork on the other side to file everything and get that side cleaned off. I figure I'm 65% finished, that will work out pretty well for occupying the rest of my day. It will be nice to return to a clean, organized desk after the holiday. |
