I had an appointment with the doctor today. Not for this cold, it was a follow up to talk about my blood pressure. The diastolic number has been elevated for the last 6 months or so and I've been monitoring it. It's been consistently high. I've also noticed some mild shortness of breath after moderate exercise. The doctor gave me an EKG and chest x-ray, everything looked more or less normal but he gave me some meds for my blood pressure and an inhaler for what he said could be a mild case of asthma. I'm scheduled for an echo cardiogram and some sort of test for lung function soon, but for now I think I'll be okay with the medication. |
