I arrived at High Hrothgar before noon and was surprised and glad that Delphine and Esbern were there, they know a lot about dragons and their expertise should help with the talks.
After hours of talking, we finally agreed to a truce. Tullious will give up Markarth and Ulfric will give up Riften. On top of that Tullious will get Winterhold and Ulfric will not have to compensate for what happened at Karthspire. Non of them are happy with these terms but at least there is a truce.
After the meeting, I spoke to Esbern. He and Delphine have found out that Paarthunax is a dragon and have said that they will not help me any more unless I kill him. I don't know how to feel about this. Paarthunax has helped me quite a lot in this quest and I have grown to like him. I will have to think on this long and hard.
Despite saying that he will not help me, Esbern has told me that dragons names are words of power. He then told me one of Alduins allies name, Odahviing, so I can call him. I will now head to Whiterun and we can see about springing this trap.
I arrived back in Whiterun late, Lydia and Lucia were asleep when I got home. I will have some food and go to bed myself. It will be batter to spring this trap after a good nights sleep. |
