Today is my wedding day. I hope Lydia doesn't get cold feet.Those Thalmor bastards sent one of their soldiers to ruin our wedding. I am going to talk to Maramal about rearranging it.
The wedding has been arranged for tomorrow. I hope that this time nothing ruins it.
I have decided to go and see Brynjolf in the Ragged Flagon and hear what he has to say about Esbern. Lydia is staying in the Bee and Barb because she was quite upset about what happened at the wedding and I have sent Berserker home because he doesn't like small areas very much.
I found the Ragged Flagon easily enough, only having to fight a couple of lowlifes and skeevers. Now to see what Bryjolf has to say.
Brynjilf introduced me to someone called Vekal. I had to pay him some gold for the information about Elsbern but I now know that he is definatly in the Ratway Warrens and that I'm not the only one looking for him.
Upon entering the Ratway Warrens, I ran in to some Thalmor. Needless to say I enjoyed killing them. I also found the rare beast that Malboros asked me to find, a huge green skeever. Sadly, the Thalmor had killed it before I could tame it.
I found Esbern and what I had heard about him was right, he is very paranoid. After speaking to him, he believes that Alduin the World-Eater has returned and the whole of Nirn will soon end as the prophecy said. I told him that I am dragonborn and that lifted his spirits. He believes that I can stop the prophecy from coming true.
We ran in to so more Thalmor on the way out but we defeated them quickly. It turns out that Esbern is a also a wizard, so he set most of them on fire.
After leaving the Ratways, we decided to go to the Inn and get a room for the night. Lydia was waiting for us and I filled her in on what had happened. We ate some supper and went to bed. |
