06/18/2019

I'm typing this from the comforts of home, in my pyjamas. My nose is running like a faucet, my throat is scratchy, and I am exhausted. I was sent home from work today due to it and I can't say that I was sad to go home. I feel pretty awful. It was worse earlier today, but I downed some Ny-Quil and slept for most of the day. I had to get up, though, as my friend Kaitlin is coming over to go over final details of our Niagara Falls trip. It's in a few days (yeah, and I'm sick.) and we just have to book the wine tour. We wanted to wait until it was closer to the day because we wanted an idea of the weather. It's supposed to rain a little bit while we're there, but not heavily. Everything will go well. And we'll have a great time. We're pit stopping on our way back in Toronto to hang out with Kai. I'm pretty excited about that too. Although, currently, I feel like a bag of smashed assholes. Lol

Once when Chris and I were both sick at the same time, we were on the couch under the blankets, tissues everywhere, and dozing while watching Star Wars. That was the year of the hell cold for me. I ended up with an inhaler, a nasal spray, and antibiotics. I wanted to die I felt so bad. I think it was because I hadn't fully recovered from a cold the month previous, and we were helping someone move into a new place. I started coughing and clearly getting sick again and they refused to let me help any further. I was sent home with tea and instructions to rest. A few days later I tried to work and was sent home. And then I went to the doctor four times in a matter of two weeks. I kept trying to go to work and my boss kept sending me away. Lol

This was all before I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, and now that I know what I have, I am more careful about making sure my hands are clean and that they don't touch my face after handling dirty money or products sick people touch. I literally catch everything. Hence the cold I now have because one of my cashiers came to work sick and spread his germs everywhere. Ugh.

Hope you enjoy Niagara! It's one of my favourite places to go, especially Niagara-on-the-lake, I could happily drink wine there all summer. x

We started with a bang and did a wine/distillery tour. Our driver was amazing; so outgoing and charismatic and we got tons of freebies. So of course, now we're drunk in our hotel room, relaxing before we go out to dinner. LOL
