atheism is ironic

05/08/2011

atheism is probably one of the most ultimate forms of irony ever.

first of all, God gave us free will. the fact that they have chosen not to believe in God is ironic.

secondly, the fact that they claim that "faith" is stupid is also ironic, because they have faith in their own beliefs.

third, the fact that they claim us to be blind when they are, in fact, the ones who seem to be blinded to the fact that spirits and other planes to exist is extremely ironic, and earns a nice chuckle.

fourth, the fact that they believe there is no meaning to life but continue to try and create meaning to their lives is ironic, because they don't believe there is a meaning to life. it doesn't matter if they say "be the best you can be" or "have fun while you're here". those are meanings to life, and since they believe there is no meaning to life, it is ironic.

it is also retarded.

fifth, the fact that they claim that religion is bad and should be gotten rid of is extremely ironic because they beliefs say that there is no point. thereofre, we have a right to do whatever we wish to anybody without any regard to anything. religion, on the other hand, teaches morals and ways in which to live an find joy and peace.

i've talked to a lot of people of different beliefs. and out of all of them, the group that has had the most jerks has been atheism. go figure.

sixth, the fact that they claim that demons and/or spirits don't appear to them, and therefore, cannot exist, is also ironic, because they don't seem to realize that spirits won't appear to people who aren't open tot hem, and Satan has no use for sending demons to mess with them when he already has them wrapped around his huge red finger.

and that, my friends, is why atheism is ironic. and irony is something that has always made me smile. thank you, atheists for all the irony you emit.

Are you kidding me? We're all entitled to our own opinion - what you believe to be true isn't fact just because someone said so.. What about everything we've proved to be true with science? Shouldn't that make us doubt God? How can He have created us if we've proved evolution? & why does God allow so many innocent people to suffer, & so many bad people to get away with the things they have done? & why does God say he loves us all equally when he supposedly condemns gays to hell just for being who they are.
I'm sorry but there just seems to be too much evidence against his existence. & if God doesn't exist, then none of what you've said is ironic.

I think there's a lot of generalization going on in this entry. Granted if I had to pick something to call myself, it would be agnostic. But you can't say that ALL atheists think faith is stupid or think that there's no meaning to life. I say that anyone can believe in anything they want. You can believe in what you want and while I might disagree doesn't meant I'm wrong and/or stupid.

Like you said, we were given free will and can believe in what we want. We (People as a whole, including you) should be able to believe in whatever we want without being judged by other people.

Why do you care so much about what other people believe in or how they believe? I mean more power to you because it is your choice to do so. But to me it seems like a lot of wasted energy. I believe in good energy & that good energy & positive thinking bring about good things & positive experiences. I do believe that there is an after life.... but god is an iffy subject for me. But that's just from what I've experienced in my life & the questions those experiences have left me with. So for you to generalize & judge people who believe different from you kind of baffles me. Is there not a statement in the bible that says you shouldn't judge others? That it's Gods job to judge?

I don't believe in God, however I understand that people have different beliefs. I don't go around telling people that they're retarded because they believe in an invisible entity that I don't believe in. I personally believe that we're all renting from Mother Nature and when we die we we're paying our rent. I like that idea better than an entity in which this person can forgive any Tom, Dick and Harry for anything. First this guy is vengeful and then he's all forgiving? It's like Bipolar. Let's not forget the numerous wars started due to religion. That makes a whole lot of sense.

first of all, God gave us free will. the fact that they have chosen not to believe in God is ironic.
I'm of the opinion that no one chooses their beliefs, just as we don't choose the gender, race or nationality we were born into. Also, our environment may help shape who we are, but when we're too young to properly understand the world, and therefore choose our paths, societal imprints have a huge impact on what we become. In other words, generally speaking, Athiests can't choose not to believe in God just as a Christian can.

secondly, the fact that they claim that "faith" is stupid is also ironic, because they have faith in their own beliefs.
Contextual fail. When referring to "faith," atheists are talking about faith in the intangible, whereas they have faith in the tangible.

third, the fact that they claim us to be blind when they are, in fact, the ones who seem to be blinded to the fact that spirits and other planes to exist is extremely ironic, and earns a nice chuckle.
See above. Tangible versus intangible.

fourth, the fact that they believe there is no meaning to life but continue to try and create meaning to their lives is ironic, because they don't believe there is a meaning to life. it doesn't matter if they say "be the best you can be" or "have fun while you're here". those are meanings to life, and since they believe there is no meaning to life, it is ironic.
Again, contextual fail.

it is also retarded.
Maturity fail?

fifth, the fact that they claim that religion is bad and should be gotten rid of is extremely ironic because they beliefs say that there is no point. thereofre, we have a right to do whatever we wish to anybody without any regard to anything. religion, on the other hand, teaches morals and ways in which to live an find joy and peace.
Atheism has its own merits. These tend to fall under very logical terms, and are really a straightforward, simplified version of what most religions' core values teach.

i've talked to a lot of people of different beliefs. and out of all of them, the group that has had the most jerks has been atheism. go figure.
Personally, I find Jehovah's Witnesses to be rather offensive, though some are intelligent enough to have a spirited debate with. Atheists are deemed "jerks" because many of them tend to be very outspoken.

sixth, the fact that they claim that demons and/or spirits don't appear to them, and therefore, cannot exist, is also ironic, because they don't seem to realize that spirits won't appear to people who aren't open tot hem, and Satan has no use for sending demons to mess with them when he already has them wrapped around his huge red finger.
I'm curious. Can you actually prove that Satan exists in anything but a metaphorical sense?

Before you go on a tangent, I'm not atheist. Very, very far from it, actually. But I possess something called intuition, which allows me to comprehend the viewpoint of another. It's obvious that you lack this trait, which is unfortunate, because your post is really disjointed and, well, immature. I suggest doing some in-depth research on a subject before attempting another post like this.
