I need some womanly advice from other women on bloop. This is TMI so if your sensitive to things please do not press on.

In the first year of my relationship sex was amazing. I could do it anyway I wanted for however long as I wanted and it never hurt. I would often times have next day soreness but it was just depending on how long and what we did.

After getting pregnant I noticed things changed.

Now almost 98% of the time sex is very painful. It feels like his penis is hitting something causing excruciating pain that causes us to stop and not continue. I often notice that when he goes deeper it hurts worse. My question is has any of you experienced this type of pain? If so, what did your doctor tell you? I recently got laid off from work so I do not have insurance anymore. When I find a new job I defiantly need to get it looked into but until than I figured I could get some feed back from others on bloop.

I have the same problem now. It only started after I had a baby. I think it's because he is hitting my cervix. I think it might have lowered after having a baby. I don't know. I have a doc. apt on the 26th and Ill let you know what he says about it. Is it painful the entire time for you? Its only painful for me when he hits a certain spot.

could be a cyst, or any number of things. because you lack insurance, i say call your local health department and see if they offer womanly visits. (ours does) or get on your state website....many offer programs for woman. just get in to see the doctor....you dont want to let it go if it can be serious. that can ruin your chances of having more children to say the least, and lead to bigger problems.
there are many options even with out insurance.
good luck!

So there's no cure? Is it because a mans penis is large or because of an issue we may possess?

In my case, it's because I'm so short inside. Most women are apparently "deeper" than I am. The only cure is to make sure he's not seriously ramming it home, and check your positions. Some positions make it easier for him to hit the cervix, like doggie for instance, or you with your knees at your shoulders. But no matter what position you do, he needs to make sure that he's not hitting it so deeply it's going to hurt you, because then it's no fun for anyone.

If sex hasn't hurt in the past, there are only a few reasons why would be now with the same person.
You could have an infection. Which you'd need to go to a doctor to get antibiotics. [& there are cases of having one without other symptoms, but other symptoms include stinging, itching, burning, oder or discharge.] You can also have pain during sex due to a yeast infection. Which you could treat yourself.
Could you be having spasms of the muscles at the opening of the vagina, which causes pain when your partner enters. It is most commonly a response to fear of some kind, like getting pregnant or of sex in general.
A lack of lubrication causes pain. Which is the most common reason after pregnancy.

If the pain starts deep inside you, it could be a warning sign of an internal problem like Pelvic inflammatory disease, endometriosis, a mass, scar tissue or ovarian cysts.

Other than that...well, I'd say see a doctor. Buttt, they're just some suggestions of what it might be?

now I dont want to scare you so PLEASE dont take this as it might be what is wrong with you. When I had problems with having sex and it hurting....it was before I had my last child....well I went in for my pap test and ended up finding out I have pre cancerous cells on my uterus. Nothing major thank goodness. After the surgery to remove them and have my tubes done I have little to no problems having sex when we do. Like I said DONT think that this might be what is wrong with you. Honestly it could be like Missing said, he could be going in too far and too hard. If he hurts you in the slightest from here on out, tell him to calm the heck down so you can enjoy it too!

I used to work for an OB/GYN and almost all of our patients that had pain during sex had either PID ( Pelvic inflammatory disease) or ovarian cysts.

I think it's really important to note that this is post-partum.

Sex for me is sometimes painful, too, since having my daughter 3 years ago. MOST of my pain, however, is from the perianal area where I tore during delivery. It never quite went back to normal I guess - maybe it healed funny, or is just ultra-sensitive now ... but it certainly hurts like a bugger!

And sometimes it feels like my husband penetrates too deeply now, which I don't ever remember being an issue before I had her - so it'd definitely be a question to ask your OB/Gyn, and not just a Gynecologist.

I know that before I had my first child, sex NEVER hurt. But after I had my son, it hurt if we used a position that allowed deeper penetration. I KNOW my pain isn't because of PID, and if it were because of ovarian cysts I'd have been having the problem before I ever got pregnant. Granted, those are good possibilities, but as you said, it is important to note that this IS post-partum.

I would be seeking medical advice. we can share experiences on here as much as you like but its NOT medical advice and shouldnt be used as such.
