i watched the first episode of true blood and was hooked. i then bought the book and found that i didn't like the way it was written. and stuck with the show. however - that's not to say the books aren't good. or even great. i have a friend who has read them all and loves both the tv series and the books in their own right.

and yes, episode one might not have been great, but episode two was WONDERFUL!
