The Obamas, the Sarkozys etc weren't invited because it's not a state occasion. They would have been invited if they were close friends, though. Also Blair and Brown weren't invited, but Thatcher and Major were; Tory conspiracy, perhaps?! ;D This is all on bbc.co.uk; you can get your Royal Wedding fix there!

I must admit I did like watching it, but it fucking dragged on. They looked bored to death. They also looked very tired; I bet they collapse into bed and put the shagging off until tomorrow!

My friend and I thought the same thing when they sat down for the readings. LOL I did not think about the end of the celebration part. I think you might be right.

It was rather sad to watch in the sense that William is now off my back up husband list... It's ok though Harry has taken his place! LOL
Loved the dress Kate looked gorgeous in it although I'm not too fussed about the make up... I thought her blush was a little dark.
I really wish I was in England for it, it would've been awesome. I look forward to hearing about how people were psrt of the celebrations etc..
I'm also looking forward to hearing about the evening reception.

Is it just me or did it look like the Queen wasn't extremely pleased? I know that the Royal Family aren't big on displaying their emotions, but there was no hint of happiness or approval on the Queen's face at all. Maybe the tiara was just a public front? What are your thoughts on this?

I thought that until I heard she was wearing a brooch known as the "lovers knot" which they said was her nod to the happy couple. And on the balcony I did see a hint of a true smile I think it's mostly that they aren't big on public displays of emotions.

She couldnt get off the balccony fast enough. Also her and Phillip didnt attend the evening reception.
Thats why I thought she wasnt pleased... Meh, we'll never know. At least she didnt force him to marry someone he didnt love like they did to his father

True, but I've never taken the Queen for a woman who likes to be in public much.

I think they learned from the public down fall of Prince Charles cheating on Princess Di. Did not go over well with the people.

I heard that the Queen and Prince Phillip passed on the evening reception so that the "young ones" could let their hair down and enjoy the evening. I thought that was a very sweet gesture!

@davidsengel82: Have you ever seen the Queen before? She always looks like a grumpy sod! Haha my nan used to pull the exact same face, I think it's a symptom of knocking on a bit.

Hahahaha - I think it's gravity! Like, as your skin gets saggier, gravity pulls down the corners of your mouth!

I noticed national news referring to Obama not being invited as a 'snub', but they said the same thing about Tony Blair and Gordon Brown. But, it was also explained why and that the wedding was not a state affair. However, we don't care if he was invited or not. :-P

And in the end, it didn't matter if he was invited or not because there is no way after the Southern tornadoes that he would have attended anyhow. He visited Alabama on Friday.

I enjoyed the Royal Wedding ^_^
There was such a hype and overcrowded but I thought it was really nice for Will & Kate.
Kate looked beautiful! I loved and want her dress! Also loved her outfit after the edding [with the furry sleeves (:]

I was there amongst the crowds. Was at Buckingham Palace most of the night on the eve of the Wedding.
It got way too crowded and people kept bashing me with their flags [and I probably the same with all my Will & Kate flags, lol] but it was such an event and I enjoyed every moment of it >_<
Anyway, we went to a pub at Buckingham Palace Rd to watch the "I do"s on the tellie. Couldn't see a damn thing because it was so crowded in the pub but could hear everything and got a few glimpses (:
The pub went totally silent during that bit. Everyone was really into it and it got emotional. Aww!
When they were married, everyone just celebrated! It was great!
They closed off all the area; just lots of people on the sidewalk and I have never seen so many police around.
There was procession as well. Saw a bit and took some pics when I was outside (:
Anyway, got some pictures in my entry about the Royal Wedding D:
It's great to see other people & peoples from all over the world getting into this event; another chapter for British history (:
