Have you ever had a person who just WOULDN'T stop texting you!? In other words, harassing you via texts.
First thing you do is to tell them to leave you alone, right? Ask them to stop texting you.
Then you ignore ALL their texts.
But, pitifully, they keep at it for months & months even though you give them absolutely no reply -.-"

Have you ever been in this situation?

What was it like for you?

& what did you do to finally make them stop?

I've been in this situation but, methinks, it's sorted now. Number has been blocked *fingers crossed*
At first, I told this person to leave me alone & stop harassing me.
Then I ignored ALL their texts- but for 3 MONTHS they just kept on & on texting me EVERY DAY. I gave them no reply.
Who would actually have the time to do that? Why are some people so desperate? >.< If someone's ignoring you, um, stop?

Anyway, I'm now curious to see how other people have handled this similar situation.

Gosh, yo, this reminds me of when a certain Bloop teenager kept leaving me lots and lots of comments in a ginormous flashing comment box, and I asked her to stop, but she wouldn't, so I blocked her naughty ass! ;) But your comment box is much nicer nowadays! ;D

Seriously, though, if I had the problem with texts, I would block the person from being able to text me. I assume that is possible - you can block people from phoning you. If it wasn't possible, I'd change my number.

Haha- if that was me, sorry. My memory is a complete fail. & I was retarded when I was a younger teenager >.<

Unfortunately, I can't easily block anyone from texting or calling me.
I have to call up my service provider, which I did, & they said it would take 24hrs to block their number.

I wouldn't want to change my number. Not again.
I had to get a new number at the start of the year because my old phone got lost. xD.
So, don't want to irritate my friends by having to change all over again *sigh*

Well, 24 hours is nothing compared to three months. If it's a choice of waiting 24 hours to get a number blocked, or getting harassing texts for months and months, I know I'd choice waiting 24 hours.

@ Estella:
Luckily I haven't had any more harassment, so I think I'm safe now!
& now I think about it, I'd rather wait 24 hours as well. xD.
I bet this loser is texting, calling, texting, calling & wondering why it won't work.
*cackles* xD.

I'd call the psycho and give them an ear full. Especially if it's been three months.

Tell them if it didn't stop that I'd be going to the police for harassment.

Mind you, i can't block people from texting me on my phone. If I had the option to block I would just do that.

Only problem is that this idiot doesn't pick up their own. I don't understand why they don't. If they can be on their phone harassing people via texts all day long then why don't they pick up their phone? It doesn't make any sense |:

My best friend's mum called him & left him a message. She said that we would get the police involved if he didn't stop.

Same here. I wish I could just have an option on my phone to block but you have to go through customer services.

I don't want to change my number on behalf of this idiot.
& I've changed my number too many times. It would start annoying my friends...
I guess I'll just have to sit there, ignore his desperation & laugh at what a fail he is. xD.

@CrazyBellatrix:

I don't blame you. You shouldn't *have* to change your number because they're and idiot. I used to change my number every other month practically and it drove my friends and family nutty :D So I understand that.

@ Stephanie:
Haha- it's been driving my friends & family nutty last year, as well.
Because I kept losing / breaking my mobile phones.
I've had my current phone since the new year [or just before] so I don't want to have to go through that ordeal.

Shouldn't let this idiot get the better of me. I guess I'll just tolerate it and let him waste his life away texting someone who 1) isn't interested, 2) isn't even replying and 3) laughing themselves crazy at how pathetic & worthless the stalker's life is.

xD.

I would change my phone number.

But for those that don't have that option, I would block their number.

For those that don't have THAT option, I would be like, "If you don't stop texting me, I swear to god, I'm going to call the poilice."

Can't change number for many reasons.

Called service provider who are trying to block their number. xD.

& my best friend's mum left them a message saying that.

But some people just DON'T get the message *shakes head*

I would do what you did first, and tell them to stop. If that didn't work, I would start responding to everything they send me with absolute nonsense, but nothing mean that will give them the satisfaction of having started a fight. If they really kept on and just wouldn't get the hint, I would take it to the police and let THEM politely ask the person to leave you alone.

I tried that at first but they just got more encouraged |:
*sigh* Some people just have nothing better to do with their pitiful "life"...

I'd probably tell them to cut it out, I'd probably give 3 warnings and my final warning would be very stern and serious. From there - I'd ignore the person and not give any attention to the texts and finally if after all else fails - I'd just get the number blocked. I wonder if you'd be able to report the person for harassment or something?

Jessica: Couldn't you go to your phone company and ask them to block the number?

I probably could, but I wouldn't care enough to go through my phone company.

Then again, I wouldn't allow the texting to go on for months. I'd have called them and told them off a long time beforehand.

Exactly what I do. Unfortunately, some idiots don't pick up their phones, so that makes it annoying |:

(( Oops! Didn't put who the comments were directed at! The first 2 were to la rana & Jessica ^.^ ))

@Kez:
That's exactly what I've been doing to them.
I admit it that I was rude to them at some points hoping that it would scare them aware. Mistake |:
&, that, I also did. I ignored them for 3 months straight and they were sending me something like 20 texts a day.
I just don't get it how some people's life are SOOO pathetic that they have to resort to doing pathetic things like this.

If the harassment doesn't stop then I will look into a way to report them.
Hopefully there's a way where you don't have to go through the kerfuffle of getting the police involved...

I think that's so sad for an ex to do that to their ex's new partner.
How is it so hard to just move on with your life & let your ex get on with their life?

I've changed my number so many times last year.
Not from harassment but because my phone kept getting lost |:
So, I don't really want to have to change my number AGAIN & have to tell my friends of a new number.
People would get sick & tired of it -.-"
