when i was a teen someone did this to me. my dad went round and told their parents that he'd become a real pain in their ass if their kid didn't leave me alone. that got them to stop pretty fast.

though, now days if it happened i'd tell them i was informing the police, then just change my number.

I wish things were simpler when you get older like they were when you were younger |:

I even told this pathetic guy that I had changed my number. The end.
And since I sent that text to them [ages ago] I've received 100s of texts.
How the hell does he find all the time in the world to do this? When the person they're doing it to ISN'T replying!?
Omg. Speaking about a life not worth living. xD.

I had a stalker who would text me at the same time everyday begging to go out for breakfast, to go out for dinner and to go out for tea and then general things, I only let it go on for a few weeks as he had also started sitting on the wall outside my house and following my housemates asking where I was. In the end I told Uni (we go same uni) who then informed him that if he did not stop we would be going to the police, so I then changed my mobile number, ensured he couldn't see my facebook or send anything via my uni email and then Uni even organised that his lectures would never be in the same room as mine to reduce the chance of us crossing paths.

That sounds creepy.
At least my stalker isn't following me around. Well, I hope not *shudders*
But you were lucky that you had your Uni to help stop this guy harassing you.

& he has definitely stopped now?

@CrazyBellatrix

I haven't heard anything from him since he was told the police would be brought in and he was not to approach me at uni, which is about a year and a half ago now

I had a stalker last summer. He would text and call constantly. We were ok at first, but he wouldn't lay off a bit, so I told him to leave me alone. It started with the begging and being pitiful, but soon went to violent threats. Every morning I would wake up with at least 50-75 texts from him, as well as as many voicemails as my phone could take. I ended up going to the police. After they got all they needed, I changed my number. He then started texting my stepdad's phone, and showed up in my town (when he was supposed to be 16 hours away) so he got arrested. Spent 30 days and got probation with 2 years of not contacting anyone in my family or getting into any trouble etc. Within 3 hours of getting released, he was texting Chuck. He emails me on a regular basis, but I don't know where he's at. So yea you can get them for harrasment communications. I think it's like 10 unwanted calls or texts a day or something.

Bloody hell, that guy sounds like a perfect example of a person who has failed at life.
How the heck does he find the time to do that !?
& the real question is WHY.
Someone doesn't want to talk to you, they ignore you, so why keep on texting?
Damn.

Let me ask- did he text properly was he completely illiterate?
Stalkers usually text like this: "hi wasup u k miss u" - did you understand it? I can barely understand it. xD.

His story was he was from OK, I live in Western Kentucky. He was sent here for work, him and his friend. We hung out for a couple weeks and it was going good, utnil he was sent to SC. Thats when the bs started.
I really don't know where he found the time, although I figured out his sleep schedule. Lol. He was up from 7 or 8 at night til 4 in the morning lol.
Yea I tried the whole "Don't you realize you're coming off as desperate/crazy/pathetic when someone doesn't want to talk to you, yet you still beg and whatnot 24/7? point but it didnt work. And lol yes he was horrible at spelling and every other word was my name. Kinda annoying lol. I think his worst one was: "bith i wil fk u up so bad ur mom wone kno u, may berry u alive." Almost cracked me up.

It sounds like he has some serious obsessive issues.
I have obsessive issues but I wouldn't harass people. That's fudged up.
I just get obsessed with film, music, characters & actors. xD.

LMFAO!
That made me laugh. xD.
Bith? Wone? Berry?
Have these idiots ever gotten an education? Sounds like he was brought up in the gutter.

Yea he definitely had issues. I don't know if this was the whole reason if any at all but he was in the military and because he didnt follow orders, he got like 12 men killed, only him and one other survived. I would say be has PTSD or something but still...

i've actually had this happen, as well as random phone calls during the night. After telling said person to stop, and they wouldnt stop i ended up changing my number.

if you dont want to change you number there are a few options:
1) tell this person you are going to involve the police if they dont stop.
2) call your mobile phone company and have the number blocked

but i would say to hold off from calling them and setting them straight, if this person really is crazy, sometimes that eggs them on and they keep doing it, or it gets worse.

@ Zombeh Brainz:
I think this is the kind of stalker I've had the misfortune of coming across.
They can't take no for an answer.
& their twisted little minds are probably thinking-
"Ooh! They're not texting back. They're ignoring me. So, they must really like me! I'll continue texting them."
Pathetic. xD.

It's funny because my coworker and I were just talking about this today. She met this guy on Plenty of Fish who was a total jerk. He would hate on "fat people" (and Jenny is no small girl) and just rip people a new one if he felt in the mood to be mean. This was 2 years ago and he still sends her texts. She doesn't respond to them. Until today. She told him he needed to leave her alone and move on. She has moved on from him and is about to have a baby in a couple of weeks. THEN he got mad at her because he wanted her to have HIS babies and she went off and got knocked up by some other guy. lol. It's like... really?
