So I'm a trendy mom. I like to wear trendy things; even while pregnant. BUT WHY! Oh why! Must clothing be so expensive?! I shopped online today since my company made us work and I bought this top for $26:

Not only will it look great with my wonderful baby bump (and leggings or straight jeans!) but it will be a great piece for after the baby.

What do you typically spend on clothes? What's your max price on like tops, jeans, etc.?

I won't pay typically more than $30 for tops.
$60 for jeans.
And $50 for a pair of shoes.

And this is all on the high side!

I won't pay over $100 for shoes (but that's only because the tennis shoes I like run around $70 a pair. So I don't mind going up to a hundred)
Same price applies for jeans. I'm iffy on spending a lot for jeans, but if I know they're a good pair of pants I have no qualms spending that much.

Tops are where I tend to be a cheap ass. I think $30 is ridiculous for a top ;D
I don't think I've paid more than like $25 for a shirt, ever. I still think that's too much.

Hoodies on the other hand? I'll pay up to like $75 on. I'm weird ;D

The amount I spend on shoes is probably the reason I'm always so broke rofl. I don't even want to think about how much I've spend on JUST tennis shoes in the last year. I have a serious shoe buying problem. The last pair of heels I got cost me like $65 ;D

Oh HEAVY hoodies? Hahahaha. I was talking just regular, thin hoodies. Budget goes way up for the heavier ones.

Depends on what it's for for me... Mostly no more than $50 for shoes, except sneakers than it's about $100, $20 for tops and $40 for pants. Work pants used to send me broke though... $50 on average for them, damn these short legs of mine!

Typically I won't spend more than $150 on shoes. I am really picky about how my jeans fit so I've spent up to $75 on them if they fit great. I am a cheap ass when it comes to tops. I won't spend more than like $25 on them, and that is if I REALLY like it. Jackets I have spent a little over a $100 on them but they are something you don't have to buy often so I want to make sure they will last & are something I really like and if they are expensive I just deal with it so I won't be unhappy wearing it.

Shirts: max $30 (usually $10-$15)
Hoodies: max $60 (usually $30-$40)
Pants: max $50 (usually $20)
Shoes: max $100 (usually $80 - Vans work best for me, so I am willing to pay more for comfort) and I WOULD pay a good couple hundred for awesome goth boots, IF I had the money!
Bras: max $40 (usually $15-$20)
Underwear: max $10 per pair (usually 3 for $20. I love La Vie en Rose) lol
Socks: max $8 per pair (my super awesome toesocks usually cost 3 for $10 at Ardene)

i'm addicted to t-shirts, but i won't spend more than $20 on them. not that that's a problem when threadless have $6 t-shirt sales :S

shoes i will spend up to $70 from because i usually wear chucks and that's about how much they retail for.

jeans is usually $60 and that's because it's hard to find any that retail for less, and i hate jeans shopping so usually the first pair that fit and look good i grab.

I normally spend $30-$60 for jeans. I'm rly petite and it's hard finding jeans the right length So I'm willing to spend a bit more on a good fit. Shirts I spend anywhere from $5-$40 but the latter is very rare. If it costs that much for one shirt it better look fucking INCREDIBLE on me. The most I've ever spent on shoes recently is $80. I don't wear tennis shoes and my last pair of Chucks I got on sale for $11. XD I'd love me some Choos or Manolos but I rly can't justify two or three months worth of rent on shoes that I'd only wear on special occasions. :-/

Hmm. I guess it depends on what it is and how bad I want it :P. Usually for tops I won't spent more than $30, for jeans no more than $50 (although $50 is REALLY pushing it), and shoes are my weakness. Tennis shoes and the like I don't like to go over $70, flip flops $20/25, boots $200. I sometimes break these rules though, depending on what we're talking about and just how badly I want it ;).
