What?! Labor doesn't hurt? What planet are you from? Labor in fact hurts A LOT! Back labor is even more painful. I had back labor and it was the most uncomfortable and intense pain I have ever experienced in my life. Wait until you go into labor . . . then come back later and tell us you didn't experience any pain.

I can't believe I'm actually reading this... Seriously it's fine and dandy if you want to smoke drugs or whatever but why force your child to be an addict?
As for healthy babies, your friends were very lucky. I know women who have been passive smokers and have had children with breathing difficulties and allsorts of fun problems..
I'd be seeing a Dr not asking ppl on a diary site.
In the end it's your decision not mine, but personally I'd value the health and wellbeing of my child over my own...

I honestly have to say, as a expecting Mom, that the risks aren't worth the benefits. I'm nervous too (anxious) and I've been puking my guts up for weeks, however I don't think smoking pot is the answer. I've read through most of this and think it's great that you went and actually discussed it with your doctor. Honestly though, this child is totally dependent on you, and putting any substance like that in your body isn't worth it. I want sushi, but I'm not going out and eating it, because I know if I were to acquire food poisoning from the raw fish it could be potentially fatal for my child. It's seems you've heard enough from everyone else so I'm just going to say I'm going to pray that you stop using. It's not worth it, I assure you.

Wow, as if the link I posted on your entry got you so worked up that you started a thread about it. I didn't post the comment on your diary because I wanted to preach, but at 34 weeks pregnant myself, I honestly couldn't get my head around why why why you would fill your body with an ILLEGAL drug. It's illegal for a reason, surely you must understand that - and therefore it certainly can't be very helpful filling your body with it when your body is busy making a baby. There are SO many people out there who would give an arm and a leg to be pregnant. You're selfish for smoking weed during pregnancy, your attitude towards your pregnancy is selfish, and your attitude towards abortion is also selfish, and to be quite honest I don't think you deserve to be having a child.

I really hope that you wake up and realise that once you create a life, then your own life becomes about that little person, not about you anymore. If you've got issues with anxiety etc, then see your doctor, who will be able to advise you on what is and isn't safe to do during pregnancy. And if you carry on with the pot smoking, then I really hope someone reports you, and that the baby is drug tested when it is born and taken away from you because of the traces of drugs. Then someone who REALLY cares can look after the baby, because let's face it - if you really cared, you wouldn't be bothered that you had to give up smoking weed for a few months, you wouldn't be bothered that you are having to share your body for 9 months. And if pregnancy is that much of an inconvenience to you - try using some contraception.

I honestly think this girl is way too immature and irresponsible to have a baby. Everything that goes into your body, goes to your baby. Also, she needs to keep in mind that the fetus is developing and it needs to have a clean environment to be healthy. Seriously, not smoking weed for 10 months isn't going to kill her. I went without alcohol for 10 months and I survived. I like a good drink once in a while but the health of my unborn baby was more important. Once you become a mom it's not about you anymore. Every decision you make affects your child. Babies are a lot of work and they take all of your time and attention. Maybe she should of thought of that before she got pregnant.

I am convinced she is a fake diary. I read an earlier entry where she thinks beer is better than koolaid for the baby because beer has barley, hops, and wheat in it....@_@ Oh holy crap I fear for this child if she is really pregnant!

I've started to think that as well. Now granted, a tiny amount of beer or wine isn't going to kill the kid (although not rly something I would recommend or do if I was pregnant) but how can you assume that beer is ok for a baby when massive amounts of alcohol cause FAS? That's just crazy.

Oh...I am speechless. First off, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *breathes* You seriously believe that labor DOESN'T HURT?!?!?!? That women EXAGGERATE?!?!?!?!?!??!? Ohhh my goodness you're in for a giant dose of reality IF/when you have a baby, because 1) I'm convinced you're fake to begin with and 2) if you aren't fake, and you are indeed smoking pot through your pregnancy, you're going to cause so much harm to that poor innocent life, that he/she might not even recover. I sincerely hope that they do a drug test at the hospital and send child services in. Your baby (if one exists) deserves SO much better than that. Also, if the statement above about beer being better for your baby than koolaid is something you actually said...(I'm afraid to read it..) you are SADLY mistaken. Just because it has grains in it doesn't take away the fact that it's ALCOHOL and the amount you'd need to consume to even get any benefit from these grains and things (if you even can) will CERTAINLY do harm to your baby.

Oh, to add: a big reason why I think you're fake is I highly doubt that you will find a doctor ANYWHERE that is ok with you smoking pot while pregnant.

Looks like I wasn't speechless after all...haha

I'm not flaming at all.. I just have one thing to point out, and a question.

EVERYTHING you ingest & inhale crosses your placenta, which means your baby is no doubt being exposed to ANYTHING that passes through your body, marijuana included.

Would you allow your child to smoke marijuana themselves?

No? Then why does it seem okay to expose them to it while they are inutero, regardless of what science may or may not say??

@SugarNSpice: Marijuana doesn't cure lung cancer but it has been known to be a good painkiller and it also helps glaucoma patients. Doctors are allowed to prescribe medical marijuana for those purposes only. Otherwise, it has no other useful qualities except to make you high.

Uhm.. her name is Morgan, and her "husbands" name is Dexter. Riiight. Okay, so not completely out of the ball park.... but pairing that with a few other things, I'm going to call BS as well.

I think that if you have to question it, you shouldn't be doing it.
As for raging articles to either disagree or agree, I'm not sure.

You do know that they test you for drugs every single time you go to see your doctor, right?
That's why they make you pee into the cup while you're pregnant whenever you show up for your appointment.

Just think - if someone disagrees with you and calls someone to come take your baby, do you think they would take your newborn because you are smoking pot and forcing your baby to smoke pot (since you're smoking around him and he's not able to leave)?

If your answer is a "Yes. But I don't care." then that is telling you something right there.

Seeing people abuse their innocent baby this way makes me sick and I really hope that something is done to protect your baby, because obviously you are not.

I've looked at her diary and she's clearly a fake. Someone who's bored and looking for amusement I guess. And obviously good enough to convince plenty people, but there's things written in her entries which make it clear she's not real and certainly not pregnant. So time to stop feeding the troll I think.
