Does anybody know of an app, or any way, of watching movies on a blackberry? And no, the 'Movies' app is not for watching; it's for looking up movies in theater's, etc.

Also, anybody know of any blog sites that work with cell phones? I tried wordpress.com but it's user interface through mobile media sucks. I can't find anything else. I'm on computer at the hospital, so I can't go to most blog sites, except this one..and this one doesn't work on my blackberry well enough for me. Being that I'm gonna be here a while, I'd like to find a temporary one to use until I get back home. Any suggestions?

livejournal has a mobile site, and I'm not sure of a way to watch movies on your BB unless you already have movie files on your computer and put them in your media folder while your BB is connected via USB to your compy.

If you download any third party browser (opera mini or bolt are the most common) you can view any webpage in normal format which makes it easier to navigate.
I personally use bolt. I can view my lj, bloop & a few forums just like i was on my laptop.
I HATE the native browser on the bb. I work for BlackBerry Tech Support and i've heard all the 'good things' about it but i just despise it.
As for movies, you can watch youtube on your bb, so if you were watching movies there then it would work. It'd be tedious, but it would work.
But other than that you would need to have put the movies on your media card first.

Oh, okay, awesome. I'll try out bolt and/or opera mini (bolt sounds cooler so i'll try that 1 first :P). Also, I found a good mobile blog: Tumblr. The interface is very user friendly. So if bloop ever gets cell phone compatability, etc, we (pr Steve, or y'all - whoever the appropriate target should be) should kind of look at that for some ideas. It's super easy.

I have the blackberry storm and I did the whole reload thing but I've noticed that if I keep it in my pocket with other stuff the stuff presses on the screen and it likes to take forever to load or not want to respond to my touch commands. Do you guys have this problem with your bb?

BAH! That's the storms for you. /cringes.
How long ago did you reload?
Did you create a back up & restore it when you reloaded the software?
What software version are you running?
Who is your carrier?

The more specfic you are the easier i can give you a solution. i'm glad to help, it's second nature to me these days.

April 4th.
Yup, sure did. I used the blackberry website you posted in the last round of bb problem forum posts.
Um. I dunno. How do I find that out?

I think you may be missing a software update. Verizon pushed one out a few weeks back.
Go to options, then about. In there it will say what handheld software version you are using.
The problem could also be with corrupt data on the device or possibly in your back up.
Plug into DTM, back up, then select "check for updates". If it find anything then install it.

Well you have the biggest update pushed out.
I'd still plug into the DTM and check for updates.
If you don't want to reload again, but it's annoying you then preform a back up, do a security wipe (options>security options>security wipe) then do an advanced restore of your back up, only moving the most vital information to the device.
that's what i would recommend.

I have the BB Curve and mine isn't touch screen so I don't have that problem. Perhaps u should get a holster or something?

Also, should I go ahead and d/l an app to back up my BB or should I do that on my computer?

Use the desktop manager.
Ideally you should be backing up once a week. Especially if you are a heavy user.
You can download the latest version from www.blackberry.com. click software & on the right hand side click BlackBerry Desktop software & download it.
If you need any help with figuring it all out, i can easily walk you through it.
But i can't stress BACK UP! BACK UP! BACK UP! enough.

Also, is there any way of making bolt the default browser or possibly switching the reg browser icon w/ bolt so I can just start it up? Also same question about the crunchsms app - any way of setting the app icon on home page?

When you download bolt you need to download the browser push too.
Then just highlight over your native browser icon, hit the bb menu key & select hide.

Just highlight over it in your downlods folder & select "move to home screen" then it will go to the bottom of all your home icons and you just to the same to over it around on that screen.
