some people seem to still like them or something. there was a lot of people ordering them but i guess it depends on what you've been used to & your taste buds?

Not that bad, but I have a hard time differentiating between different types of frappuccinos unless they're explicitly different flavors, like chocolate and caramel, or whatever the fuck.

My frap tastes the same as it always has...

Isn't the idea of the 'new frappuchino' that you just have more choices? Like what kind of milk, how much syrup, if you want decaf, extra chocolate chips or whatever?

Yes -- they're "however-you-want-it" frappuccinos. The big change is that we don't use a pre-made mix anymore, which is what limited frappuccino customization. Now you can choose whatever kind of milk you'd like, decaf or regular coffee, and there's also the option to have extra coffee without having to add a shot of espresso.

The new frappuccinos are more milky and a lot sweeter than the old ones; they're also blended on a different setting, so the texture is different. I don't like them.

I know!!! XD A premix would be so much easier! I gotta put in milk, espresso, flavoring, and ice and then blend! A premix would only be 2 steps... damn. Oye. xD

With the premix, there were 3 steps. Now there are a total of 8.

Do you guys make everything in the blender pitcher? We do two steps, pour the contents into the pitcher, do a few more steps, and then blend. -_-

Yeah we got a blender. I put milk in first, put in espresso, then ice, then squirts of w/e flavoring, then blend. Some get extra flavor of like vanilla or strawberry and some get the side swirl, then whip cream but most is just that.

i got a mocha frap today and it tasted like it was watered down and just watery. it was like there was no coffee in it whatsoever. maybe we have to order it differently but i wish it still tasted the same even if we ordered it regular. you do get choices but i heard it's much healthier or something. it is not worth any money to me though

Fair enough. I always order the java chip light and it still tastes the same to me.

I'm not totally certain but I think the java chip is just chocolate syrup, chocolate chips and coffee. The chocolate chips are the best part :D.

I didn't know they'd changed, but I haven't had one for a while. I do love mocha frappucinos though.

I haven't had one of those since I discovered how many calories are in them. Heart attack in a cup, right there.

that's why you have to go the 'light' route! A 16 oz java chip frap (light with none of that whipped cream business) is only 200 calories! Not bad for a frappucchino! The regular of the same size is like 2x that!

I still think it tastes the same as before, so maybe the 'light' varieties aren't affected as much? I dunno.

Gosh I don't think I've seen light ones over here.
I'm lactose intolerant anyway, which means I can only have certain drinks at Starbucks. No more Christmas eggnog lattés for me :(

I LOVE the java chip, but I only drink them if I have nowhere to go immediately after. Those little chips always get stuck in my teeth!

I noticed the difference as soon as it was released. I like the idea of having more selection, but whenever i get to the counter i stick with my normal two orders.
I'm a frapp a day kinda girl & i don't like messing with a good thing.
