I will be buying a new cell phone in a couple weeks. I have AT&T. Does anyone know of any new cell phones that are dependable? I always seem to break mine. I want a high tech phone, but not too hard to learn how to work. I have been looking at the Quick Fire. It is a touch-screen phone with a QWERTY keyboard. Has anyone had this phone?

I have the BlackJack2 it's a pretty good phone and it's not hard to use. I haven't had any problems with it.

I also have the BlackBerry Curve through AT&T, and it is by far THE best phone I've ever had (I've had various brands of cell phones since 1998). It took me a few hours of quality time with the phone to learn the BlackBerry functions, but it was well worth it!

Yeah the blackberry curve is really good! I'm actually on mine right now lol. Its easy to work and figure out and the keyboard is great if you text a lot. I don't recommend the pearl if you text a lot.

I may be mistaken but I think you are talking about the time you can return it. I know with T-Mobile, they said I had 14 days to return the phone for my money back. I havent heard of that project which is why I bring this up.

Thanks for all the advice guys. I'm looking more at the blackberrys now. I do like a touchscreen phone though. Has anyone had the Blackberry Storn. It looks awesome and it's a touchscreen.

My sister-in-law has the Blackberry Storm and she liked her Blackberry Pearl better than the Storm.

Did she have problems with it? What things about the Pearl did she like better?

I didn't personally use it so I can't attest for what she said, but she said the Pearl was just easier to use in general. The touch screen gives her problems (as far as being TOO touch sensitive and trying to do two things at once when her finger just touched one thing) and she said the Pearl is more "user-friendly". Like I said, I don't know how true that would be for EVERYONE (she might just be touch screen challenged :P).

The Storm did not get a good review overall. As with most touch screens most people I know don't like them too much after the initial fun of having it. The Curve with it's keyboard is much more user friendly and the reviews are outstanding as you can see.

Ok thanks, I guess that's the only reason I wanted a touch screen to begin with (just the fun of using it). I would much rather want a dependable phone.
