Shinedown is one of the bands that I have NOT gotten to see yet that I TOTALLY want to see. One of my absolute favorite new bands.

One of the best Cover Songs EVER by any band. they sang it with SUCH reverance and Bent's voice just echo's the passion.

One of my first concerts, Korn was playing back in the late 90s at the Big Day Out. It was the biggest mosh pit I had ever been in. It was a 40deg Aussie day! so everyone was just wet from their own sweat, it was hard to breathe because of the bad body odour and heat. Everyone was jumping and pushing so violently I thought I was in a Braveheart battle scene. I seriously thought I was going to die. Best time of life.
I also remember that night someone threw a bottle at Marylin Manson and he had a big cry in his G string and left the stage. Generally I hate it when people do that, because it can ruin a show. It was only Marylin Manson though.

Other wise through out all the other concerts I've been to, I've been elbowed in the face, kicked in the chest, pushed to the floor and stepped on. Mind you these are things I've also done to people so, it's only fair. I absolutely LOVE it, when teeny boppers come to concerts to have a good time and get dragged into these things.

A mate of mine once walked out from a mosh pit with a broken nose when he was fly kicked in the face from a crowd surfer. He didn't seem to mind though, he just kept watching the show with his shirt under his nose. I think that was for Millencolin.

Aaah good times.

Mind you, I loved all their albums until the last one.
Pennybridge Pioneers is still their best. Material Boy rocks!

Best concert experience would have to be Cannibal Corpse last year. Me and a friend had a blast, and seeing the crowd starting a mosh pit for my husbands band... the best! Worst experience would be at the local metal awards in March 2005, where the club was due to open that day and when we rocked up for load in, the place was still a shit tip. When doors opened they were still vaccuuming and whatnot, cleaning up the place. Power in the place was run by electrical leads EVERYWHERE! Oh and my mates phone got stolen from his bag in the band room, then someone who was cracking onto everyones girlfriends punched a bouncer in the mouth in front of me, and then walked off down the street punchign cars. Scary gig.

I seen a girl almost get trampled to death in a mosh pit at a Cannibal Corpse/Malevolent Creation show back in the day. It was during the Malevolent set and they had to actually STOP the show so the paramedics could get in there and get her because she was so badly hurt. 2nd sickest pit I've ever seen behind the Devildriver pit. That was just freaking INSANE.

I remember a girl died in Sydney many years ago in a Limp Biskit crowd. She had a heart attack after fainting and being trampled on.

I remember reading something about that. It's pretty intense. I know I'm getting too old for the pits anymore. LOL

We went to see Devildriver last year and the pit was just....there's not even words to describe it. Craziest thing I've ever seen. I could have toss in a 5 gallon bucket of ice and some tequila and made a damn margarita in that thing. LOL

I'm just waiting for a good band to come around here in Perth, we hardly get any. I think Placebo are in town (or have been) but um.. yeah, I don't know if I'd go to that.
Would love to see Coheed and Cambria and Protest the Hero. Hopefully I won't be too old by time that happens!!

Best Concert: TIE between Metallica in my hometown (London, ON) and Metallica in Toronto. It was amazing. They are my favourite band and they were just, unbelievable live! Getting to see them, not ONCE but twice....amazing. Everyone wanted to be there and was SO into the show. The crowd was intense but everyone was really respectful in the pits. If you fell, they helped you up (this happened to my best friend the first time).

Worst Concert: TIE
Fall Out Boy. So many fucking skanky bitches. two girls tried to fight my friend and I because we were being pushed by HOARDS of 14 year olds and their moms.
Marianas Trench: I got punched in the face by some dude because I was drunk and tripped into him. People at that show were fucking DICKS!

I am all about a good crowd. If the crowd rocks, the show rocks that much more!

While I love me some Patrick Stump.... I could not imagine their shows being good. Sooooooo many young teens. Now that I'm a decade older than some of the youngest ones, I've found that I no loner have ANYTHING in common w/ them and cannot relate. XD
