so my two year anniversary is coming up with my lovely boyfriend. i need ideas! here is what i've come up with so far -

i call him my home, and we often refer to ourselves as a puzzle. i was thinking about buying [on etsy] a little house charm, a puzzle charm, and a key [to my heart!] so that i can make him a cute little keychain. he loves his set of keys [it's a man thing?] so i know he'll look at it a bazillion times a day and it's something that is so terribly meaningful to us. he doesn't do necklaces and well - it probably wouldn't look good like that anyways.

we've decided on cooking together on the day of. he'll be cooking steak and working on the salad while i create my awesome rigatoni crown. we'll have drinks and i'm not sure about dessert yet. i was thinking maybe getting aprons [because we often cook together] for us too so we can wear them that day. should i create like..a mix cd to listen to while we do this? am i being too cheesy? he has a big heart and is all gushy like me too..so i know he'll enjoy it, right?!?

last year i made him the book of 12. each page was handcrafted by me..twelve reasons why i love him. he loved it and totally teared up! what a man! i love him. :]

no one has ever taken the time to love me as he does. this is big to me. how can i show him how much i appreciate and love him? it's terribly hard because it's so much! words/materialistic things cannot say!

/end cheese

I think this is all really sweet!
And a mix CD is a definite good idea! But maybe not even like .. slow songs but stuff that has meaning to you both? Maybe a funny song, or a pop song .. that you both remember playing when something happened or something like that?

No suggestions, but can I borrow him? My husband is such an alpha male, if I did anything like that he'd just stare at it blankly.

I think the mixed CD is an awesome idea. Also, maybe you could get plain aprons and actually "make" them, you know? Decorate them/write on them and whatnot. I'm cheesy like that xD.

I think a good idea since you refer to yourselves as a puzzle... make a puzzle. My brother had a puzzle made for my parents for Christmas. It was a collage of pictures of everyone in the family. It was really cool because a family tradition is to do puzzles around Christmas. In fact, wherever he did it at, all you have to do is submit the pictures and they create the collage for you, you can mess with it a bit, but it's pretty simple.

oh yes, i thought about this. but we got a puzzle of chicago and he just pushed it to the side one day. so i'm afraid he won't even put it together. maybe i should number the backs and tell him to take one out everyday after i give it to him until it's finished :D

First off I just want to say AWE.
I could cry just reading how sweet you two are :D

Make him a shirt with a picture of you (or the two of you) on it.
My brother's girlfriend made him one, and I'll be damned if he ever takes the fucker off.

And of course him being a guy, when I make fun of him I get a 'Shut up. Its amazing.'

mix cd's are always a good idea - but i think they should be given with another gift/made for an occasion. otherwise it makes me feel juvenile..but that's just meeee. aw. 6th year? i can't wait for 6 years..10...20..320403289432 :D or i can wait. i don't want it to go by too fast.
