Just turn those off, yo! Once those are off, Facebook begins to look more and more like a legitimate networking site. So much, in fact, that I think one day I may use Facebook as a way to get me a yob. :3

Well, you could change your settings, so that it doesn't spam your email with apps :P

I know. I was just comparing the two sites and how I never had to change my settings on MySpace to get them to leave me alone. It doesnt actually BOTHER me (or I would change my settings), I'm just saying that when asked to compare the two sites, NOT having to change my settings to get the results I want gives MySpace the advantage over Facebook in my personal opinion. I mean seriously, what kind of networking site that WANTS to get a lot of people to subscribe to it has "Annoy the holy hell out of you" as their default settings? lol I dunno. Maybe it's just me.

I like Facebook better. Mostly because the interaction with your friends is better. When somone comments on your status you are notified and when you comment back they are notified. On Myspace the other person isn't notified if I comment back on my status update so it pretty much kills the interaction. I first went to Facebook after all my friends on Myspace left. Now I rarely get on Myspace, except to check on the few people who haven't ventured over to FB yet.

i never have a problem with facebook apps..i have a problem with myspace apps and stupidity. i hate myspace. it's lame. facebook for communication and easy navigation. i wouldn't use it if you could customize it [unless it's just to change the blue to like purple or black or something] because hardly anyone knows how to make things look good.

i prefer facebook, in large part because of what already gone said. i like being able to comment back on the picture and have it notify my friends. that way i don't get six comments saying, "where was this taken?" or "who is this?".. i answer it once and everyone can read it. i also like playing the games. not farmville or fishville or any of that junk that completely takes over your life, but i play treasure madness and a LOT of mindjolt games. i also play a harry potter game because i'm kind of a nerd ;D. it's just all around way more entertaining. i go on myspace because a few of my friends don't use facebook and to do surveys (because i'm a complete addict), but it's greatly inferior. haha.

i preferred myspace and refused to try facebook for a long time. but more and more people got on facebook and i finally caved. i hated it for the first few months... but now i rarely do anything on myspace. there are parts i hate about both sites, but still i prefer facebook. all those apps annoy me on facebook and i can't seem to block all of them because there are a couple i do use, but so many of the annoying ones are connected in random ways. did that make sense? i ramble. i like the way photo albums are set up better on myspace though. and i'd like to be able to add a couple html things to facebook that i can't... but i like that all the profiles match... even though the white is blinding. i still have my myspace because a few people wont switch over to facebook... and i have cool stuff and tons of pictures on it still. that'll change when i get my new computer.. i'm gonna delete most of the stuff i have on there. ANYWAYYYYYYYYY... point is... facebook. I'm able to connect with family members i havent seen in years or never had a chance to even meet. it's great.

I have both. I used facebook in high school, and slowly started noticing how many kids were on it, and how terrible everyone on there was with HTML.
I love facebook so much more because all the pages look the same. I don't load up a page and BAM neon yellow text on a neon green background or some loud obnoxious song.

Most people have music playing while they browse the internet. Who wants to load up a page and have a stupid song playing?

The only problem I ever had with apps on facebook was that stupid FarmVille app. HATE.
I also only had like two friends who sent me a million App invites, so I ignored invites to apps from them ;D

Anyone notice Facebooks new layout? Hate it? Like it? I think it's a little on the cluttered side, to be honest. I don't like it! lol.

It never told me you posted this!
Thank you for the picture. I wish I had seen it beforehand! Haha.

And holy wow, you're so right. But I am also the biggest whiner of all time, so I would be complaining over any little change.

yeah i went to work then came back and facebook was changed. seriously facebook changes its layout more than some bloopers do. it's quite irritating. just pick a design and stick with it. i'm not one of those "omg change it back I HATE THIS!" types, but it is getting on my nerves that they are changing it so often. if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

also myspace is fucking terrible. people can't use html.

for me facebook and myspace are entirely different things. Facebook is to catch up with family and friends and stalk old school people.
Myspace is where I post my work and enjoy others work so I like both equally but i probably will use FB more frequently Myspace

I used to prefer myspace when I first made both pages several years ago, but now pretty much everyone I know has abandoned it for facebook. I almost exclusively use facebook now, though the site has changed a lot since it started allowing anyone to join. Even my technophobe father has a facebook and uses it regularly lol. So it's definitely not the kind of place where I'd post party pictures and such anymore, but I like being able to stay in touch with my family so easy.

I hardly ever use my myspace anymore. I'm all on Facebook. And I don't really like to be on them, but it's they only way I can stay connected with people from places I used to live, like Canada.

None of my friends have MySpace (almost all of them are on Facebook) and I have no interest in using it to discover new bands etc. Also during the brief period that I had a MySpace I used to get loads of random guys asking to be my friend which was annoying and weird. Rarely happens on Facebook though.

I love Facebook and it's led to me being back in touch with a few old friends too. I also have a Bebo (which I think is more of a British thing) but I rarely use it, as almost everyone on my friends list over there is now on Facebook anyway.

AOL and AIM profiles actually became Bebo profiles last year. I had no idea what it was until then... I rather dislike Bebo.

I never had Myspace. I knew some friends who did, but I avoided it for some reason. I've had Facebook for almost 5 years now and I love it. I love, some of, the mindless little games.

My layout hasn't changed to the new one yet either.
