So I need help thinking of a good present for my man for V-day. He always makes it really special for me & gets me something nice. I'm not that creative with gifts so I thought you guys on bloop might be able to help me. What would you want for V-day? And ladies what did you get your man for V-day?

This probably won't apply to all men, but I hope my own personal insight will help you out.

Guys don't really pressure themselves with presents, especially on holidays like Valentine's Day. A good night out will do good, as well as you don't pressure yourself of him over how to "properly" go about this holiday, as (no offense to women) a lot of women do.

Take a night out on the town. Go see a movie, go to a bar, go out dancing. Your guy isn't stressing about it, there's no reason why you should. Have fun. :3

Honestly that would be my ideal way to spend the holiday. Just go out to eat, see a movie, have some time alone & that be that. I would much rather just enjoy his company than stress over the gift but I hate to come empty handed when I know he will be getting me something.

In all honesty, if he's getting you something, he shouldn't be expecting something in return. It's supposed to be unconditional love.

Going out together for a night on the town is enough for any mature guy.

Oh he wouldn't mind if I got him anything or not. I guess I just feel like I should get him something in return. I mean I want to get him something. But if I didn't he wouldn't even care.

Last year, I got him a new stereo for the house, because we were moving into our first apartment and thought it would be a good idea for him. I also got him a nice card, etc. This year, I only got him a card. Things are tight money wise, and he was fine with just the card. We've just recently moved into a new house and with our big wedding being just 2 months away, we are tight on money. :)

Yeah, I have no idea. Men are so hard. Women are easy.. Valentine's Day equals flowers, jewelry, candy, yes? But a man? Ha. No idea. Last year I took my husband to Victoria's Secret and let him pick out whatever he wanted me to wear that night, and let him DO whatever he wanted that night... xD. I just had surgery this year, though, so that kind of thing is out for me. I have him a couple of cards and a cute little fluffy animal thing I bought, but I know he's done a lot more for me. Like the OP, I know my husband wouldn't CARE if I didn't get him anything (he'd probably prefer it), but I WANT to. Just never have an idea of WHAT to get him.

So I ended up giving my husband a stuffed TY porcupine that I randomly found a month or so ago and made me think of him (this guy!), three cards, and an IOU for a gift of his choosing when we go to see a movie and to the mall next weekend. Pathetic, I know, but he's pretty excited about what he's getting so it's ok :).

My fella is easy.. "I don't do Valentines!" is what he usually pulls... but he has caught me out with that. I am gonna get him a CD or DVD he wants, when I get off my bum and go buy it! LOL. Or I have tix here to a gig that I was gonna give him for a bday so if I don't get out I will give him those.

I'm not overly familiar with buying presents for men for Valentine's, but I get to do it this year.

Get men something they need and want, maybe something they wouldn't get for themselves. My hubby has been needing a new wallet, but he refused to buy himself a new one (or waste money or whatever) until it's absolutely worn out. So I got him a very nice soft brown leather wallet. I'm going to give it to him while we are at a dinner theater enjoying dinner and a show. The place we're going is lovely. We went there last year, and we get dinner, a desert to share, champagne glasses full of Hersey's kisses, and a bottle of champagne to drink there or take home, and then of course we watch a romantic play. Some odd reason though, this year it's the day before Valentine's, even though it's the "Valentine's Special." Whatever.

I also have some addition mature content gifts and events planned for Valentine's Night. Let's just say, I'm giving myself as a gift to him.
