I just signed up for Love Film's free trial and I want to hire a really scary film. Preferably to do with ghosts, although that isn't a must. I have found that foreign films tend to be the scariest. So, any suggestions?
My suggestion to you guys is Rec. It's Spanish and horrific.

Saw Paranormal Activity Sunday night and as an avid horror film buff, I was pretty terrified. Although to be fair, my 2 gf's w/ me were terrified (1 to the point of tears xD), and my 3 guys friends that came w/ us were laughing (although at the film or at our reactions I'm not too sure). And I refuse to go see it again. XD Another gf of mine also said that she cried when she watched it and most of my friends are horror buffs, so I can't really remember a time when there was crying in a theater when it comes to a horror film. XD

I find it ironic that a little horror film that cost $11k to make scared me a hella more than a big budget American horror film, which usually just makes me laugh. XD

I saw that last week on Saturday. I was kind of disappointed. I didn't find it so scarey. I did like it though. It was good. I think I just had myself prepared for something a lot worse than what it was.

::lmao:: It creeped me out and it's hard for me to get creeped out by American films. It's all the suspense and the fact that it doesn't relie on gore or "scary" monsters. My imagination does it 100x better, which is why even watching the trailer freaks me out. xD

I saw that yesterday. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be...But when it got to the last two days, I was seriously freaking out a little. And I definitely went to bed a little paranoid last night..Haha.

hahaha I burst out laughing at that part and had tears rolling down my face ;D. It was creepy in the beginning but after the dragging, my boyfriend and I just spent the rest of the movie laughing/wondering what was going to happen next. I had the ending figured out by the middle of the movie, too.

I enjoyed how it wasn't a happy ending. The entire portrayal of strong independent feminine roles bored me though. Not to mention how fucking idiotic they were. Poor characters, decent situation.

Gosh, I hate "scary" movies. And genuinely believe that anyone who enjoys watching ANYTHING with lots of blood/violence in it must have something inherently wrong with them!!! What else could explain it?! ;D

Lol I'm not too into the gory films; I like ones with ghostly goings on! But am now downloading The Descent which is meant to be quite gross ;D

How about The Uninvited?
It's the American remake of the South Korean Horror Film A Tale of Two Sisters.

Well I did look into it but Rotten Tomatoes only gave it 32%. I often find that remakes are never as good as the original. But I will research the original now!

I liked The Uninvited.. up until the ending. It has kind of a WTF ending if you don't see it coming, but my husband said he saw it coming! Lol.

Agreed.
I had the ending half figured out, actually. However, I thought I was wrong in my thinking so it still had the WTF value :)
