my boyfriend & i have been having our problems. he's not as nice / cute / cuddly as he used to be all of a sudden and it's very upsetting. he tells me its just because 'he doesnt feel like himself' but he refuses to talk about it. lately when i say cute things to him he just responds with something stupid, nothing like he used to. i'm just not used to him saying 'idk' to most of the things i ask or 'no' to alot of other things. usually when he says no, he'll go 'i'm just kidding' and he does it about everything. i believe he's losing interest.he's also been ditching me to play tennis with his friend and usually 2 other girls. when i ask to come he says 'no sorry we have 4 people' or when i ask him to take a walk with him he'll go 'nah i'm gonna go myself, but somehow his other male friend goes along'. maybe i'm just a nag, but i'd really like to know why the sudden lack of interest towards me is. so tonight before i left to go to bed he IM'd me with a poem. i googled it and come to find out somebody else wrote it when he said HE did. that's the only 2 things he said 'i wrote this for you' and then the poem. is there any meaning behind saying you wrote a poem when you didnt? or am i maybe looking into things too much?

I think you're looking into things too much. He's probably just depressed, my boyfriend acted this way for some time then he just snapped out of it.

Well if your sex life hasn't changed then he's not losing interest. How long have you guys been together? Relationships just change after a while. And give him space, let him do his own thing, if you constantly ask to go with him or ask him to do thing with you your going to seem needy and clingy, and guys don't like that. Just let him do his own thing

maybe he wanted to stop your "nagging". if he doesn't feel like himself he'll talk about it when he's ready, but i don't think it'd be out of the question to tell him you're upset that he's ditching you.

Just out of curiosity, what caused you to google the poem?

I'm curious as well. If he said he wrote it, why would you google it?

I know if mine wrote me a poem and it was good, I would def google it only because I know he doesn't do that kind of stuff. He couldn't write a poem for shit. ;D

i google'd the poem becuase like makayla i know he can't write a poem for anything and when he does it usually doesn't rhyme as well as this one or talk about the stuff it talks about. i've told him i'm upset with him ditching me all the time he just says he's not and that he likes tennis and such. but why when i ask to go does he say 'no sorry you cant come, we already have 4 people playing' before he would be like 'yeah, you should go'.

HE'S TRYING TO IMPRESS YOU, YO. HE ISN'T VERY ARTICULATE AND HE WORRIES THAT HE'S LOSING YOU, AND SO HE WANTS TO EXPRESS HIS FEELINGS.

OR ELSE IT'S A GUILT OFFERING, BECAUSE HE'S BEEN SLEEPING AROUND.

WHY NOT ASK HIM, YO? SAY 'OI, BOIF, YO! WAS THERE ANY PARTICULAR REASON YOU TOLD A NAUGHTY LIE AND PRETENDED YOU'D WRITTEN THAT POEM?'

OUT OF CURIOSITY, WHAT POEM WAS IT? LIKE, HE WOULD NO DOUBT HAVE CHOSEN ONE WITH CERTAIN WORDS FOR A REASON, RATHER THAN RANDOMLY PICKING A POEM.

Why can't women just be happy with the fact that a man "wrote" a poem for them? WHO CARES if he told you HE wrote it. It's not like he's trying to publish it as his own. By Googling it and confronting him about it, you will humiliate him and he may never try to impress you or do something you will like ever again. Just take it as he loves you, knows you would enjoy a poem, and since he can't articulate it well enough he decided to "borrow" from someone who will never know....NEVER EVEN THINKING you would distrust him enough that you would Google the damn poem to prove he DIDN'T, in fact, write it on his own.

Women do things like that and then wonder why he's becoming distant. *shaking head*

i have a friend who's last name is "cummings". she showed me a really really good poem one day and said "i wrote this for you". i read it, and said "did you really write this?" she said, "it's a cummings original!" i found out it was an E.E. Cummings poem LOL but it was funny as crap

I definitely agree with the "buck the eff off" sentiment. He may be needing some space with his friends. Since you have no problem nagging him, why not ask him if he needs space? Tell him you'll stop nagging if he just opens up a bit and tells you what he needs from you. Nagging will get you nowhere. It just pisses off people. Do you like being nagged? No, no one does. So, chill for a bit, stop the nagging, and in a couple days ask him if he needs some space.
