I was just looking through some old folders my friend has on her desktop
and found an old contest diary folder for bloop! We were remembering
those good times on bloop and were thinking about doing a contest diary?
What are your opinions? Would you be interested?

Not like the old school contests users of Bloop would have. Most contests now are graphics/icon related.

the old school contests used to be great. i miss those ones..where people put together outfits and stuff for a specific event that was going on. it wasn't just the graphic/icon related contests back then!

oh man, i remember all the dozens of layout diaries...

i miss shmee and little shmee! (even though little shmee is still around, no more anime layouts that were REALLY good)

i look through the layout diaries and its just not the same anymore...

and i remember contest diaries too, the really good ones that weren't just about graphics...

i think the layout diaries have gotten heaps better personally. they now cater for more browsers so you don't get boxes where they shouldn't be.

YES, YO, I ALWAYS THOUGHT THEY WERE DAFT.

THE CREATIVE WRITING ONES WERE QUITE FUN THOUGH! OF COURSE, THE SAME THING APPLIES - YOU ARE BEING JUDGED BY A TEENAGER WHO WANTS TO SEE LOTS OF SENTIMENTALITY IN A STORY, BUT IT'S TOTALLY ENTERTAINING TO WATCH.

Oh God, what was the overall layout one way back in 2003 again? I know I did that one. Somehow I got third place. Oh HTML, I used to enjoy you.

I'd totally jump on a writing contest though! That'd be fantastic. D:

I remember those! I used to take place in those, but I don't think I would now. I also remember when Bia (international) did a superlative diary that Bloopers got to vote in ;-D. I won Most Likely to do a Survey! Lol.

The type of contest would be the ones from back in the day, the outfit ones. (:
I used to have so much fun on those things. To judge it's not always "who has the
cutest outfit wins" or "i like your vacation spot the most, you win", because if contests
were always run like that, only someone who had the same taste as the person running
the diary would win.

I personally believe contests should be judged based on whether they
fill out the requirements for that round: Was the deadline met? Do they have pictures for
everything required in that round? And details always help. For example, if its a girls night out
and the guidelines are to pick out for an outfit for you and a friend and the club you went to.
If you wanted to just meet the guidelines and get the full score, that's obviously good, but if
people were to go a little beyond the requirements, like what drinks they drank or what
their form transportation there and back.

I think I'm going to start up that diary in a few days. I was just curious how many people
would genuinely be interested in joining it. (:

*their form of transportation was there and back, those people would score a few
extra points that round.

Stupid non-existence of an edit button. ):
