yeah like 13 years ago. i also had them in my neck and in the area where my legs are joined onto my torso, but the neck ones and one of the leg ones are gone. just those three that are still hanging around. they never used to be there, they just kinda showed up. the doctor said something about internal chicken pox i think, but i was ten and he was speaking to my mum lol. so i wasn't exactly paying attention. i've never really thought to ask again in the hundreds of times i've been to the doctor since.

I HAVE THOSE LUMPS, YO! I THOUGHT THEY WERE LYMPH NODES - SO THEY NATURALLY SWELL AND HURT WHEN YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM IS DOWN. GOSH, MINE ARE TOTALLY BIG AND SORE WHEN I AM PMS'ING. I'VE HAD THEM SINCE BEFORE I HAD CHICKEN POX - BUT THEN I DIDN'T GET CHICKEN POX TILL I WAS 21. THEY MIGHT HAVE BECOME MORE NOTICEABLE AFTER YOU CHICKEN POX, BECAUSE YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM WAS DOWN FOR A WHILE AS A RESULT, SO THEY GOT SWOLLEN AND SORE.

GOSH, EVERYONE IS TALKING ABOUT THE ANGLE OF THEIR FEET - I HAVE NOT NOTICED MINE. LIKE MINE CAN GO AT ANY OLD ANGLE, YO. THEY TOTALLY SWIVEL 180 DEGREES.

OOH - YOU TOO? I GOT IT IN CANADA, AND WAS SEEN BY A STUDENT DOCTOR WHO WAS VERY CONSCIENTIOUS ABOUT TELLING ME ALL THE MANY, MANY POSSIBLE COMPLICATIONS OF CHICKEN POX IN ADULTS - SCARED ME TO DEATH, YO! I DIDN'T GET ANY COMPLICATIONS THOUGH - JUST LOTS OF ITCHY SPOTS AND A FEVER!

Ooh yes I felt terrible for about a week! I got it on the plane going go Turkey, because when I was coming home 2 weeks later (which is the average time for incubation), they all started to come out.

When I went to the doctor in England, he actually recoiled because I had it so badly. I made my parents put blankets over all the mirrors in the house because if I saw myself it made me cry! ;D

I have some lovely scars now.

YES, YO - I FELT ILL BEFORE I GOT SPOTS. IT WAS QUITE DRAMATIC. I KIND OF COLLAPSED IN THE CAFETERIA AT UNI - LIKE NOT UNCONSCIOUS, BUT I BLACKED OUT AND MY LEGS WENT ALL WEAK SO I KIND OF FELL DOWN ON THE FLOOR, AND SAT THERE UNTIL SOME NICE GIRLY HELPED ME TO MY ROOM. AND THEN LATER I WENT FOR A BATH, AND FOUND A BLISTER ON MY ARM AND SO I POPPED IT (WHICH IS HOW I HAVE A SCAR, BECAUSE IT WASN'T A BLISTER BUT A CHICKEN POCK!). AND THEN I TOOK OFF ALL MY CLOTHES AND SAW BLISTERS ALL OVER MY TUM!

I DON'T THINK I HAD IT VERY BADLY THOUGH - WELL, TO BE HONEST, I'M NOT EVEN SURE, BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S SUPPOSED TO LOOK LIKE WHEN IT'S NORMAL. I SHOULD HAVE TAKEN PICS! ;D

I have loads of scars because I couldn't leave the scabs alone! They are finally fading now however.

My face and back were the worst - I looked like I had been dipped in boiling water. I was terrified I was going to stay that way ;D

GOSH, YO - YOURS SOUNDS QUITE NASTY. MINE JUST LOOKED KINDA LIKE BAD ACNE! I HAVE A COUPLE OF SCARS ON MY TUMMY, YO, AND ONE SOMEWHERE ON MY FACE (ALTHOUGH I FORGET WHERE, BECAUSE I DON'T MUCH LOOK IN THE MIRROR).

no, i don't think that's it. they were never there before i was ten. they've been the same size since for 13 years now. the doctor never said anything about lymph nodes either. he just said they occur sometimes and they'd eventually shrink. i did have more elsewhere, and most of them have gone. i just have three now. all of which never shrank lol.

they're sort of half way between the hinge and my chin. they don't swell either. i can manipulate them as well. they could be lymph nodes, but can they be tugged on and rolled around? if they are then why wouldn't the doctor just tell me that? is that too much information for a ten year old? lol.

YES, YO - THEY CAN BE TUGGED AND ROLLED AROUND. MY DOC DIDN'T TELL ME THE NAME OF THEM EITHER - I FIND DOCS TEND NOT TO USE TECHNICAL TERMS UNLESS YOU ASK THEM (EVEN WHEN YOU'RE AN ADULT!). I HAVE LEARNT TO ASK LOTS OF QUESTIONS OF MY DOCS, YO, TO MAKE SURE THEY TELL ME THE NAMES OF EVERYTHING!

mine don't swell, but i know they were never as big as they are now till i had chicken pox. i wonder if they ever will actually shrink? i mean three did, why haven't the other three? it's really weird.

HOW BIG ARE THEY? I HAVE SOME THAT COME AND GO AND SOME THAT STAY. THE ONES THAT STAY ARE THE SIZE OF LITTLE GRAPES. I DON'T BOTHER ABOUT THEM.

the jaw ones are grape size. the one around my leg is pretty small. i actually forgot it was there till the other week when i happened to be scratching an itch, lol. they don't really bug me, but i guess i'm just like "wtf are these?" now and then and focus on them.

OOH - IN YOUR LEG TOO? YOU DIDN'T MENTION THAT. WHERE IN YOUR LEG IS IT? LIKE AT THE TOP FRONT, WHERE YOUR THIGH MEETS YOUR TUMMY, BY YOUR HIP? I HAVE LOADS THERE, YO - THOSE ARE LYMPH NODES. BUT, LIKE, IF IT'S IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR CALF, THAT WOULD BE A CYST OR SOMETHING.

oh i forgot i didn't mention it to you haha. that's totally where it is though! it took me a few minutes of staring at my leg to correctly identify where you meant lol. i wouldn't mind knowing why chicken pox makes them grow to a noticeable size.

IT MIGHT BE JUST THAT YOU REACHED THE AGE WHERE THEY GROW BIGGER AND THE CHICKEN POX JUST HURRIED IT ALONG. LIKE, THE ONES ON MY LEGS WERE NEVER NOTICEABLE WHEN I WAS A KID. I WOULDN'T THINK THEY ARE DIRECTLY RELATED TO CHICKEN-POX - EVERYONE HAS THESE LUMPS, YO. THE ONES IN MY NECK CAME WHEN I WAS ABOUT 7 - AT LEAST, THAT IS WHEN I NOTICED THEM. MAYBE THAT WAS AFTER AN ILLNESS. BUT, LIKE, THEY ARE NOT HARMFUL. JUST LYMPH NODES. DO YOU ALSO HAVE HUGE TONSILS? I DO, YO.

lymph nodes are funny things.

my tonsils are hardly noticeable. well, i feel like they are. i'd probably notice if they were big wouldn't i? lol. have never had any issue with them. my mum and my boyfriend used to get tonsillitis a lot when they were younger. my mum had hers removed. my boyfriend never bothered. sounds like an irritating infection though.

WELL, YOUR DOC WOULD PROBABLY HAVE NOTICED IF THEY WERE BIG. LIKE, I ALWAYS THOUGHT MINE WERE NORMAL UNTIL ONE DAY THE DOC TOOK A LOOK AND SAID THEY WERE THE SIZE OF FOOTBALLS! I DON'T REALLY HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THEM - THEY ARE JUST BIG.

i'm near sighted

deaf in my right ear

one lung [one just never developed]

one leg is longer than the other

i had VSD [ventrical septal defect] when i was a baby. had open heart surgery to correct that when i was six months old.

pulmonary hypertension--probably due to my one lung.

thankfully you can't tell any of this stuff by looking at me hahahahaha.

DO YOU WEAR A BUILT-UP SHOE FOR YOUR SHORT LEG, OR DO YOU HAVE MISALIGNED HIPS TO COMPENSATE?

GOSH, I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS POSSIBLE TO BE ALIVE WITH ONLY ONE LUNG, YO. DOES THAT MEAN YOU ARE NOT VERY GOOD AT AEROBIC EXERCISE AND TIRE EASILY?

Well I have slight back problems. I don't know if it's due to an accident I had when I was about seven or to do with my short leg. Then again you can't really tell one leg is shorter than the other because I don't have a limp--the shortness is very slight. If that makes sense?

Yeah it's possible lol. When I was a baby they told my mom I wouldn't make it past a year. Hah! If anything I just run out of breath and yeah, I do tire easily. That's about it though.

All right, this sounds like fun:
* Acne
* Overweight (well, obese)
-- You can tell right there with those two I'm not getting dates any time soon. :-P
* Very bad vision. Everything's blurry w/o my glasses.
* Hard of hearing. Used to wear hearing aids but I don't. Now I just say "What? Wait, what?" a lot.

That's about it, though.
