Hey,
Im getting married in 22 days, and im SO freaking nervous...

IS THAT NORMAL?! what were ur first thoughts?

cold feet?
did u have nightmares?
did you doubt?

do you regret it sometimes? (some already answered my questions on my entry a month ago)
and
but i wanna hear everything -- how did it change for u and that person? between being a boyfriend and girlfriend to a husband and wife?

for a live in couple (me and chris live together) was it different for you guys after you got married? if so how?

what could i expect after saying "I DO"?

thanks for taking the time to answer the questions if you respond! :-)

yes im excited, just nervous and scared of what could happen alot of what ifs..

It is very normal to be nervous.. I was extremely nervous. I was so nervous that while saying our vows. I was shaking.
No I didn't have nightmares. No I didn't have any doubt. I love my husband very much and I knew I wanted to marry him. Absolutely no regrets.

I did a small, but traditional wedding, at a little chapel. Planned it myself, too! That's crazy nightmare material right there. I barely slept.

I never really got cold feet... I knew Justin was the right one.

I was excited, nervous, but most of all, happy. A lot goes into that day, so I believe all sorts of high emotions are normal. Then it flies right by!

As the change - well, it was the first relationship I was in where the "in love" stage passed, I wasn't sure what to do there. Learned how to better read and demonstrate love expressions change, had a baby, and am honestly happier than I've ever been. I love my little family.

Good luck! Don't freak out too much! Deep breaths... ;)

I think most people are nervous, I wasn't, and I don't think my wife was, but we're the exception I think. I definitely don't regret it. As for what's changed, not really much. We lived together for a couple years before getting married so getting married didn't bring much change at all, the biggest change is we have rings now lol.

Yes I was shitting myself until the big day arrived and then became strangely calm
The day itself was a whirlwind.
I had numerous nightmares that he wouldn't turn up or I'd forget to put my dress on.
It wasn't really different afterwards, but I felt much more secure. We'd been living together for almost 4 years before

with my first husband, i knew as i was walking down the asile it was a mistake. BUT we had a hcild together and i thought it was what i should do. after 10 years, and loosing myself totally, we divorced.
the second time around, i was smart and married my best friend. i wasnt the least bit nervous, nor did i have a doubt in my mind. we lived together for 2 years before our wedding, had 4 kids between us, but nothing has changed. he is still my best friend, and life is great.
the only major change this time...is i have a new last name :)

I think it's VERY normal to be nervous and get cold feet so close to your wedding! However, I can (thankfully) say that I didn't get nervous at all until I was about 5 seconds from walking down the aisle, and I was only nervous of tripping in front of 200 people then! Lol.

I did have nightmares, actually! I dreamt horrible things like I forgot to get a cake or it was an hour before the wedding and I was still at home in bed, or I forgot my dress, or forgot to get my hair done.. awful things! Lol.

I never, ever, ever regret ANYTHING about my wedding. The only thing that really changed for my husband and I is that we lived together afterwards, lol. To us, being engaged was just as solid as being married. We had already made the commitments that come with being married.

I didn't get too nervous. I was so ready for it. We had only been dating for 9 months but I knew that he was the one for me. We've been together almost 4 and half years and been married for 3 years on the 26th of this month. It was a big change for me cause I had never lived with anyone but my parents. We've had our ups and downs. Right now in a down moment but have never regretted it. You learn from all the experiences you go through. We've gone through a good little bit of stuff and it's only made us stronger. I can't imagine my life without him.

i'm getting married in about a month, and i'm not nervous at all. i think it's the easiest decision i've ever made.
now if we were having a huge wedding at home, i'd be more nervous, just bc i'd be worrying that everything is right and is finished. (we are getting married in vegas w/ close friends and family)
no cold feet or doubts though.
no regrets.
i think i've had silly dreams about it, but i have silly dreams all the time.
i live with my fiance now, so i was kinda bummed about getting married and coming back to our apt, same thing, ya know?
but luckily we just bought a house. so it'll be like starting a brand new life together.

I was nervous, and we just did a court house wedding.

I dont regret it, just know that no matter how much you love him and care for him, it isnt easy. It was different. It still is. Sometimes I wonder if he is the one, but I know he is someone who I want to be with.

The wedding process was fine for me until we had the wedding rehersal 4 days before the wedding. I freaked out so bad. I realized how close it was and how nervous I was when I had to walk down the isle with everyone staring at me. I hate standing in front of crowds. I had to tell the DJ to change the song when I went down the isle. I had "here comes the bride" and the idea of that song made me even more nervous. I ended up walking down the isle fast and I didn't care because it was my day.

I was terrified to walk down the aisle - all those eyes! But as far as the marriage itself, I had no doubts.

As far as vows go, you're really saying them to each other rather than the whole congregation. I didn't have much stage fright for that part.

I had lots of crazy dreams before I got married.... most of which were about me with my exes. I think subconsciously I was wondering what life would have ended up like had I stayed with one of them (one of two that I'm still friends with). We lived together for a year and a half first, but we never lived alone. it was always with one of our families. So it was a nice change to have our own place (til his dad moved in with us 3 months later lol). Even though we'd lived together before, there was something more between us after we got married than before. And our life together has continually gotten better and better. We've definitely been growing closer and closer the past year. And now we're expecting our first child that was completely planned and neither of us could be happier.

It's ok to be nervous at first and even have a bunch of what ifs in the back of your head. Those fears will settle with time. Good luck with the wedding!

I also have a question. Did any of you girls or guys cry when walking down the aisle with your dad or when you did the father/daughter dance or really through any part of the ceremony and reception? I know I'll cry loads of happy tears. I just want to know how you guys handled it, if you did it at all and did you you just say to hell with it and let it flow? :) This has been eating at me for ages. lol

I totally cried the whole way down the aisle, but obviously they were happy tears, so I just laughed it off. Anyone who knows me knows that I am a huge sap, so it wasn't a huge deal.

I didn't cry at all. Why cry at such a happy event? Besides, I was marrying this great gal. I thought all my Christmases had come at once. She was beautiful. I was handsome. The world was our oyster.
Of course it's different now.
