Yes, thats the first thing I learned about roaches ;D Never never step on them. ;D

I remember once when I was in middle school, my sister and I were walking with my nephew down the sidewalk in front of my school (he was about two at the time).
A roach ran across the sidewalk, and my nephew went to go step on it. He was in a bug squishing phase haha. I've never seen my sister grab him so fast in my life ;D

I don't think he's squished another bug since ;D

I used to sell wigs and hair pieces at a kisok in a mall and I saw the worst types of people come in!!!! The worst was a man who tried on a womans big red wig that resembled Peg Bundy from married with children. He asked if I thought it was his type and if he looked good!!! I wanted to just fall over laughing. I had to as soon as he walked away. He ended up not buying the wig. Geez lol

retail store - shoes for old women. for minimum wage and a 2% (yes, you read that right) commission, i was expected to help them getting their shoes on and off, selecting styles and sizes that would work better for them, upselling with purses and shoe care shit, and basically take whatever abuse those old bitches threw out because that's just what you did there. 8| i had shoes hurled at my head once because the wide size fit her better, and she "[did] NOT have wide feet!" 8| never. again. people think my job in crisis is crazy, what with the kids and the ridiculous hours and constant changes. HAH. cranky old ladies who delude themselves into believing that shoving their fat feet into a narrow shoe makes them a fucking princess are FAR WORSE than the worst shift i've ever had in group care or crisis.

I havent had a really bad job but I have a horror/humor story. I was working in the pet salon at petSmart and I was a grooming assistant. I basically just washed dogs. Well this lady dropped her huge doberman. I had some other things to do so I put the doberman in the kennel until it was time to wash him. I grab a lead and go to get him out and his head goes through the lead and he dashes out of the kennel. One of the other groomers had taken a dog out of the kennel above me left shoulder. Well this dog dashes out of the kennel, and drags me (slippery floor) my head hits the kennel door. The dog was probably 2 times my size and I couldnt stop him. He ran out the back where wash the dogs into the front of the salon dragging me the whole way. Some how that same day i got a black eye from one of the kennel doors. Needless to say I swore I would never wash a dog bigger than me ever again.

I used to have to go into work early when I worked at a theme park in Jersey, to test the roller coasters.
Yes, it sounds awesomely fun! But not when you're hungover. And not when you're on your 10th roller coaster ride in 20 minutes. And it's not yet 10am. Sometimes we used to get so thrown about that we'd be punch drunk, and unable to stand or move properly for hours!!! Never a fun start to the day!!

You mean you had to go on TEN rollercoasters first thing in the morning?

That sounds awful (and I like rollercoasters!).

Oooh no thanks! I know that feeling when you've been riding rollercoasters all day, and you feel sick for the rest of it. No fun!

Ive tried 4 jobs so far..
Currently I am working as an au pair but that isnt really a job. I basically help the older boy with his English :D
My first job in London was working as a leafleter at the dentist. It was all right but very very boring just handing out leaflets. I was really young at that time also and just worked a few times for a bit of extra pocket money.
My second job was working as a sales assistant in a shop. That was fun selling stuff to customers and also cleaning/tıdying the store but it was rather boring when it wasnt a busy day because that meant a lot of waiting around. Luckily I worked with a really nice girl there and we got along really well :)
Last year I worked at the pub. That was probably my favourıte! It was so much fun. I got to pour drinks, tıdy the area and make sure the pub was okay -but best part was you get to talk with the customers and they also left you tips -and I got quite a lot of tips at first as I was new to the job and I was friendly to everyone, yo!!
So yeah -I havent had any bad experiences with any jobs yet..
Working in the pub has been my favouritest job but au pair is the most interesting -especially as Im an au pair in a different country :P

I work in an independently owned grocery store as a cashier. It is a little one. I don't mind the work or the people I work for. It is the customers that make it extremely shitty because they talk down to me like I am an idiot or they are just flat out rude. The worst day was when some woman shit in an aisle. It wasn't a little bit either and she didn't say anything. She paid for her things and just left. It was diarrhea the entire length of the aisle. I didn't have to clean it up thankfully. Just had to deal with the smell for a little.

My second job as a home designer was at a well known respectable Home Builder where I live.
The office itself was great! nice and modern...

Except on the level I was on, we had mice and roaches running around. Sometimes you'd be working and a MAUS would jump out from behind your computer, or lift up drawing plans only to find a couple of roaches hiding underneath.

They got rid of the mice at one point, but the roaches were always there.
Once, the coffee machine died. The guy who fixed it later told us that when he opened the machine up... it was full of dead roaches!!!

I currenty work for the distribution part of the electric company's in East Texas. It can have it's horrid days. When there's power outages the calls can be horrible especially when we have bad storms that just pop up with high winds and tear all kinds of shit up and it takes more than an hr for the power to be restored. People get very pissy after about 2 hrs of no power. And then the people who get disconnected cause they didn't pay their bill act like it's our fault they were disconnected and get mad at us cause we don't have a reconnect order yet which all we do is work the orders from the electric companies that do the billing portion. So far this week I've had to hang up on like 4 or 5 people cause they wouldn't stop screaming and cussing me out which all we have to do is give them a warning that if they continue to talk that way that we are going to release the line. Once I warn them the very next time they scream or cuss it's goodbye to them. Or if their bill is too high we get bitched at. One nice thing is don't have to deal with them face to face.

Worst job I ever had, was Buffalo Wild Wings. That was the shittiest job ever, talk about overworked and underpaid. I got a measly 8 bucks an hour to run three kitchen stations and close every night, which blew because I'd show up at 4 and then get home at 4 and then go to college at 7 in the am. They had like four people total in the kitchen, two were busboys who would help us clean out the refrigerators just cos it meant one less thing for me and this guy Anthony to do. Anthony was the bomb he cleaned the grill and updrafts every night cos i couldn't reach them but closing an entire kitchen and cleaning EVERYTHING including the grease traps EVERY NIGHT takes at least three hours with only two people. That and when i STARTED there, the owner and the manager and the financial adviser had a "talk" with me about sexual harrassment. I was like the only girl in the kitchen, including the day crew and night crew, me, no other womens. Later, i realized that the only two people making sexual jokes and suggestions about me, were the manager and the owner. The owner i didnt care about he was like 90 that shit was acceptable in his time but the manager was only in his 20s i wanted to fucking kill him. Anyway. That job sucked balls.

OH! AND i got mugged TWICE on my way to my car in the parking lot at 3 am.
