(Since I figured the other thread was the news of his cardiac arrest, I would take the opportunity for this thread to be a bit more on topic)

My mom raised my listening to Michael Jackson and I absolutely LOVED his music. One of my earliest memories is of my mom and I dancing to Thriller.

Rest In Piece, King.

He was my first conscious choice of album. Thriller--definitely. :/ It was quite shocking. I'm sad to see him go.

That movie was really good. Not into musicals, but yeah, it was WAY more fun than the original.

I had liked MIcheal's Thriller album especially the thriller video. I admit he was entertaining and alot of his music was good but after the allegations of his so called sex abuse scandal and what he admitted in one of his TV interviews about him not thinking it was wrong to share a bed with another kid, is what not only he went too far but just grossed me out, from continuing to be a fan. I will always like Micheal's music and eventhough I am not a fan of his anymore I just find it so wierd that I am still in shock about his death. However, after my listening to the taped 911 call from Micheal jackson's house I found the 911 call rather suspicious or shall I say something fishy.

well the fishy part of the 911 call is this unidentified guy who called 911 from MJ's house not only did not identify who he was, BUT he did not say that the 50 yr old victim who was not breathing, and isnt responding to CPR was in fact MJ.Another thing, the guy told the 911 dispatcher that MJ's doctor was with MJ and when the dispatcher had asked if the Dr had seen what happened to MJ, you can hear the guy ask the Dr as to what he saw happen? and then in the background you hear sorta mumbling and in turn then the guy just tells the dispatcher to just get to MJ's house asap. If you want to hear the 911 call go to this link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9q57oKPjDI This same 911 tape was played on the website on cnbc.

no problem amber and the wierd thing is that here Farrah fawcett dies on the same day as MJ and nobody seems to give a rats ass about it in terms of the media but in the last 2 days since MJ's death there is non stop news about him etc its getting to be too much

i know its kinda funny -- sadly i didnt even KNOW who she was or ed as well (i guess he died a few days before MJ) but i think MJ is like SO famous cuz he even IS the king of pop...

i cant imagine what people felt when elvis was found dead... i wonder who is gonna be the new king of pop later on... isnt prince -- prince of pop? i never heard of him till like a few months back when the new cd came out that target finally stop adverising it lol

i heard farrah is an actress from what the 70s?

yes Farrah Fawcett was an actress from the 70's I wrote a diary entry a couple of entries back about both Farrah Fawcett and Micheal Jackson, do check it out if you want or can. I was like 10 yrs old when Elvis died, but I dont really remember the hoopala that had gone about after Elvis died since like I said before I was like a kid 10 yrs old and I am only a year or two older than elvis daughter Lisa Marie, the same daughter who later married Micheal Jackson.

I think that part of the reason that there's more media coverage for Michael's death is simply because it wasn't expected. Farrah Fawcett had cancer, and it was terminal. We knew she wouldn't live very long, and it was like the ending of a book; you expect it. Also, Michael Jackson's death is more fishy, there are more questions to be answered. His life was simply more controversial.

Ed Macmahon(sp) was not only the host for those old star search segments on TV but he was in those publishers clearing house commercials, and yes he was also the late johnny carson's side kick on the former late night talk show, the tonite show.

you know whats funny? so many other famous musicians had died in years past and I dont recall one ever making such a big stink about the passing of any one of those old musical artists in years past, in terms of the media, just as they are doing with Micheal jackson, I dont know its like now that MJ is dead its like as if the world had ended, and the only other artist that I can think of where the media had made a big stink of after his death was John Lennon, but somehow more of a big media stink had been done on MJ, and I do agree with the poster movie man, when he says how MJ was tainted by sex charges now that is true because I remember yrs ago when MJ was being interviewed for TV the interviewer had asked MJ if he thought it was ok for him to sleep or share a bed with another child? MJ's answer was of "YES" when I heard that I am like omg, despite he was not found guilty of the sex charges. Yes MJ was talented but in the last decade or two he just got wierder and wierder and I still find his death kind of fishy though

Thanks.

people in the comments section are saying a doctor (the one with michael when he died) should have known not to do CPR on the bed, that even the 911 operator when ask where is he, said to move him to the floor to administer CPR. that the doctor should have known that.

I dont know, but to me this has the familiar ring of a shopping doctor, a personal doctor for him to prescribe pain killers, and or psymeds.

The US is in a mist of a pain killer epidemic, and has been for a while, but it's really exploding in some errors, LA, Hollywood, Florida, etc even here in Vegas.... just the other day some stranger told me he has back pains and ask if I had any loratab (sp) - Lora's tab,lol
