Ahhh, so do I. But you know how it is when you get a song stuck in your head. It takes forever to get rid of it. lol

I have 2 tattoos but have gotten 3. My last one was a cover up...I'll explain that in a minute though.

Photobucket
This is the Chinese symbol for Love. I got that for my family. Because of them, I know what love feels like:-)

Photobucket
This was the first tattoo I had gotten. It was crappy quality but at 19, I didn't really care. I wanted my oldest sons name but wanted something to go along with it and had found a picture of the mask.

Photobucket
This is my most recent tattoo and the cover up. I wanted to add my other 2 children on the first tattoo but wasn't sure how to go about it. I tried a bunch of different designs but I didn't like them. So I decided to do something completely different. I am obssessed with fairies so I knew I wanted one. With this tattoo, the fairy represents me and the 3 butterflies represent my children. This tattoo is perfect because if we have any more, it'll be easy to add to it:-)

The stars on my shoulder was my first, a symbol from my all time favorite movie, Demon Knight. Jesus was my third, and you have NO idea how many people ask me "who's that guy?" lol.

This was my... 4th? A tribute to my favorite wrestler.

This is my 5th, and last one so far. You cant really tell but it's on the back of my right forearm.

Apparently I dont have pics of my second one, which is a Celtic cross on my left upper arm. I'll see if I can find one later. Sorry if these are huge!

Thank you =) And the tribute was/is to Chris Benoit. I dont usually answer that question, as it's such a controversial topic, but what the hell. lol

Owen Hart was before my time (before I started watching/being interested in wrestling, I mean) but from what I've seen, he was very good

my first tattoo is a small butterfly on my outer right ankle. i got it when i was 16, when the tattoo shop wouldn't pierce my belly button. it was one off the board, not meaningful at all. one day i'll get it covered up.
Photobucket
my second is the one in the middle. it's from an image off of the melon collie CD by smashing pumpkins. they are my all time favorite band. the "tramp" stamp was done when i was around 18. the tattoist designed it. i still like it, though i'm dissapointed i didn't make the colors match. i'll prob change them to match one day.
Photobucket
this was my third one. it's one of my faves. i love fairies and collect them, plus this one has ballet slippers on, and i danced ballet for ten years.
Photobucket
this is also a fave. the first time around it was done in dark red, but the tattoist fucked it up really bad. the lines ran thick and thin, and it took over a month to heal. he actually carved my foot, it's still scarred. i got it redone later in black.

this one was done about two years ago. my fiance bought it for me for my bday. it's angel wings, to represent a dear friend of mine that died when i was in 5th grade. inside either wing is a date, one a birth date, one the day he died.

my next one is going to say "pink ribbon scars that never forget" in french (i think it's 'Le ruban rose marque cela n'oublie jamais'- anyone know let me know if that's right! lol) i'm going to get that on my side close to my ribs somehow incorperated with a scar i have there.
when my dad dies i'll get a fluer de lis.

My french isn't what it used to be, and I've never been wonderful at translating, so I'm having a hard time translating "pink ribbon scars that never forget" to french, but I am pretty sure the translation you put there is just a literal one and there would be a better way to say it. I suggest you ask someone who's french is better than mine and who is good at translating. But I believe the word "marques" is more like "marks" than scars. Scars as far as i know is cicatrices. I think your translation is actually saying something more like "The pink ribbon marks that never forgets" which doesn't make much sense to me in french. I'm thinking it should be more like: "Les cicatrice de rubans rose qui n'oublie jamais" or "Les cicatrice de rubans rose que n'oublie jamais" or "Les cicatrices de rubans rose qu'on n'oublie jamais" but I suggest you check it up with someone, because I'm not entirely sure of any of those. Might just be that I'm trying to actually understand your sentence in english though. lol Is it the actual pink ribbon scars that never forget?

hey, thanks so much! it's "pink ribbon scars, that never forget" it's a song lyric. i just used an english to french translator, so i figured it wasn't really right. i would def do more research before i tattoed it on me!
i'm going to write down the ones you suggested though! i really appreciate it!

Never, ever use a translator! lol Well, unless it's a human being. ;) Some things don't always translate easily when they're expressions or song lyrics, so you should check with a french speaking person to make sure it sounds as best it can!

thanks i definatly would ask someone. my altimate goal is to actually get that tattoo done in paris, since of of my best memories was seeing smashing pumpkins there (that's who the lyric is by). so hopefuly the tattoist him/herself will be french!

ITA Bia! :D When I use the English to Chinese translator I do it a word at a time (but I do it this way b/c I know how to frame sentences in Chinese) b/c if I did it by sentence it'd be all weird and wonky and not make a lot of sense. Translators are fine but if you want it tattooed on you... not so much. xD

I have 3.

My first one I got when I was 21. It's off the board at the shop but it still means a lot to me. My friend, Brad, calls me Starlight so the first two are to remember him by.

Photobucket

That tattoo right there ^ got me kicked out of my parents house. Yeah... Go figure.

Photobucket

That tattoo right there ^ actually bled a little bit. :( It hurt.

And my 3rd one I had been talking about getting for awhile. It's a black heart with the word faith under it. And it's on the underside of my left wrist. The word is actually done in my own handwriting. =). Anywho, to me it means that sometimes what we consider to be true love sometimes dies but you have to have faith that it's going to come back again. Hence the black heart signifying the death of true love... the faith part pretty self explainatory and the heart shape in general signifying true love coming back around.
