So back in high school I decided to try Nair for the first time. I got tired of having to shave every other day and friends swore by this stuff.

One night I had changed into shorts and was sitting on the side of the tub with the Nair spread on my legs waiting for it to work. After the required 3 or so minutes, I rinsed it off my legs and was actually quite pleased with the results. As I was getting out of the tub, I didn't realize I had some Nair on the bottom of my foot so when I stepped on the bathroom floor I slipped and fell between the tub and the toilet (which was a very small space). I hit my head on the toilet on the way down and ended up spraining my ankle.

One trip to the ER later, I had a mild concussion and sprained ankle. The doctor had to leave the room so he could laugh at my story. So yeah... Nair=evil.

What's your funniest hair removal story?

Ouch!

When I was in high school, my English teacher told us that his wife and daughter made their own wax using honey and sugar, and one of my friends decided to try it. She removed a good chunk of hair, but she also ended up ripping off the skin it was attached to.

OUCH!

I found the perfect wax. It's called nad's. It's natural and it doesn't require heat, the heat from your body makes it heat up. Plus it smells really good!

I hate the smell of Nair. It works but the smell kills me. Even the "scented" nair stinks, I think it is worse sometimes.

Nads is all natural and you don't need to heat it up. Your body heat is what makes the stuff activate it. It smells wonderful! The smell is a nice smell like Aloe Vera and honey. Much better then nasty rotten egg nair.

Oh ouch! Reminds me of mine!

I was real young, right around when I first started shaving (Think like, 7th grade!)
And I had always been hesitant to use actual blade razors, so I always used electric ones. [oh my GOD the time that took D: ]
Well my dad had just put in a new tub/redone the whole bathroom. So I was like YAY SHOWER! And decided to try my blade razor for the first time.

Everything was going good, I had my leg up on the corner of the tub, completely hairless. I was so excited.
I stepped down into the tub to switch legs, only to discover that when my bathtub got soap or [haha] water on the bottom of it, it became super slippery.

Needless to say I slipped and fell.
I ended up sitting sideways in this tub, and because my bathroom is like in the middle of my house, my brother and sister heard me fall.

So on top of the pain from smacking various body parts on the tub/wall, I had my brother and sister outside the door going 'did you just fall? -hysterical laughter-'

We now have this giant anti-slip mat in that shower. :)

Well my story happens to be about Nair too. I decided when I was at summer camp one year to try my friend's Nair on my armpits right after shaving. Well that is the absolute WORST idea ever to do with Nair. After about 1 min of it on there it felt like my armpits caught on fire. It was stinging like a bitch. I wiped it off in the shower and all my screaming woke the counselors so the MEN counselors which were about 18-22 y/o ran into the girls bathroom bc they thought someone was dying and see me butt ass naked with my arms up in the air letting the cold water run over my armpits. Needless to say that was in the top 5 most embarrassing moments in my life.

Well gosh...when I was to meet up with my boyfriend-at-the-time after work i decided to shave my arms, legs, etc. Well I forgot to look at the clock and see how much time I had til i had to be at work, so i started shaving one arm and all of a sudden I water had cut off...so i'm left with one arm shaven and the other one pretty hairy and a body with shaving cream all over it. So the whole day of work i had to endure customers laughing co worker laughing(after work my boyfriend laughed) and on top of all the laughter I was itchy cause i didn't have a way to get the damn shaving cream off me other than whipping it off!

yeesh, Nair burns my nose hairs!

We were in sixth grade when my friend decided to try Nair. She put it on her hand first as a "tester." She said, "tell me when five minutes is up" (yes this was a long time ago when you were supposed to leave it on for five minutes... old school Nair lol). Well, she made it to about two minutes, and asked, "has it been five minutes yet?" and I said no. She sits and waits... and says, "it's burning my hand! has it been five minutes?!" and I said no. She starts running around waving her hand in the air.... but doesn't rinse it off until five minutes were up lol.

I didn't try Nair for the first time until years after that. And I would rather just shave.

When I was twelve my family went to Walt Disney World. It was late at night and I was in the bathroom shaving my legs. I had a brand new razor and it was really sharp. I was really tired. I nicked the back of my ankle really badly and didn't notice it right away until I looked down and saw that the bottom of the tub was red. I immediately started screaming. My whole family was banging on the door, panicked. My mom came in and put toilet paper over it and I kept bleeding through it so my dad and brother had to walk to the main hotel building to buy band-aids. I think I should have gotten stitches because we kept having to buy band-aids the rest of the trip because it kept bleeding. Needless to say, I will never forget that trip. I have a pretty big scar from it. ;-D

Another time I was shaving my under arms and when I passed my hand across my chest to shave the other under arm, I nicked my nipple and had to put toilet paper in my bra to get it to stop bleeding.

Yeah, I shouldn't be around razors.

When I was younger, my mom made me use an epillator.... as in those evil things that pluck out hairs from your legs. It took me like 3 hours to do just one leg, it was that painful! Never again have I gone near one

I love epilators, they must of improved though as I find mine virtually painless.

I think it's hair type that can make the difference. I use epilators too, but mostly on my underarms - legs and bikini line is a definite ouch.

I once used nair on my face because I had this soft microscopic peach fuzz and I was so terrified of people seeing it so I decided to use nair. back in the day when you had leave it on 5 min or more. anyways it left burns on my face and deep dark scabs. it was horrible. thankfully you can't tell it ever happened but that shit is gross. ive never used nair since.

aw my poor jelly bean lol. i have nair that is made for face fuzz. if i use it anywhere other than my mustache (lo) i break out. so i stopped doing that. it doesn't always do the job of hair removal that it should... but it helps. *shrug* lol i don't use it that much.

lol...i have the peach fuzz too. And I thought it would be cool to shave THEN use nair on it, to get the little fuzz that's there...well it wasn't a good idea, on top of having a mustache burn across my entire face the area was super lighter than the rest of my face for some reason, so i decided to nair the rest of my face (why? i don't know, i think i was like 12 or 13 or something) i swear the stink was bad, but i ended up kinda nairing some of my eyebrow so when i went to whipping it off my eyebrow went with it! I was soooo embarrassed for about 2 weeks and attempted to pencil in the missing part of my eyebrow(people still noticed)

Teehee

Ever since I was little I have loved popping my back while I take a bath. I do the twist with my hands on one side of my body in order to crack my back.
Well one day I had just finished shaving my legs and didn't notice that when I put the razor on the side of the tub, it had fallen back in. I decided my back needed popping so I raised by body slightly and did my normal routine of popping said back.
After I was finished I then proceeded to sit directly onto the razor and ended up cutting a large portion of my ass (by the hole ladies and gents')

I even tried to show my Sister in law (Amber Rae on bloop) and my best friend my cut. I just ended up mooning them and they never saw the cut ha ha.

AAH. I've so done that!

I was doing the bikini shaving, and went too far back and it slipped.
