I work at Panera Bread (aka St. Louis Bread Company). Every franchise is a bit different, but mine micromanages numbers and sometimes it's a fun job and other times I wonder why the hell I would even consider management for the insurance.

The boyfriend works at Best Buy. He was automatically in the Family Circle of Trust with my brothers for being a fellow geek.

Oh. I've been a the library job for 2 years. I like working there because it's pretty laid back and I get to meet alot of interesting people. I don't like the snotty kids that come in there especially when they are sick because I seem to catch every little bug they get.

I've worked at the gas station since December and I hate it. I hate the town it's in and I hate the people who come in there. It's not a very safe working place but it does pay the bills.

I work for the Evil Empire (i.e. the Federal government) in the Provost Marshal's Office on a military base. I basically do all of the "services" stuff for the police, which unfortunately involves dealing with the general public. I can honestly say that this has been the worst job I've ever had.

I work for the University of Georgia Wahsega 4-H center. Camp Wahsega is a 4-H summer camp where kids do all sorts of summer camp things. In the spring in fall we also do environmental education where groups come to camp in our rustic cabins and learn about herpetology, entomology, pioneer life, survival, orienteering... things like that.

I am camp support staff which means I do lots of different things. I usually work in the kitchen. Some days we paint different parts of the camp. I've been known to work in the office or help relocate venomous snakes... we aren't going to kill them but we certainly can't have a copperhead take a bite out of an eight year old.

Pros:
I like most of the people I work with.
The setting is beautiful.
We take lots of breaks.
The whole place is just a good time.

Cons:
The hours are long.
Some kid always needs you to throw his wet, muddy clothes or shoes into the clothes dryer.
The pay could be better.
The roads to the camp are not paved so they are muddy when it rains and dust when it doesn't rain.

I thought of studying for a music therapy degree once upon a time. It sounded interesting. I lost interest though.

I work in a bingo hall as a bingo caller.

It's great because I get paid to sit on a stage, press a button and call out numbers. It's pretty easy stuff. It does get hard when someone doesn't shout loud enough and their claim gets missed and then it's me that gets all of the abuse from the customer, or when something goes wrong with the computers and I have to keep a few hundred OAP's calm. I like working with people though and I like the other members of staff. The job also gave me loads more confidence than I used to have. 5 years ago I would never have contemplated standing on stage, speaking to up to a 1000 people. And of course the best part about it is that it's not forever. It's only until I get my degree!

I am a cashier at a thrift store.

PROS:
It's a job.

CONS:
Oh man, I work Wednesday - Sunday.
On Wednesdays I work 10 to 8.
Saturdays 11 to 7.
Sundays 12 to 7.
The other two days are 12 to 8.
Therefore, I have no life.
My boss is bipolar as hell.
He is also owner of the place, so there's no 'going over his head'
Customers call me by my name just because they heard someone else say it. {That is creepy. Really creepy}
This is the most stressful job I've ever had.

In short: I hate it. I really do.

I do wear a name tag, but it's sooo irritating when people say something like "thank you..... *looks straight at name tag then back up* Abbie" There is nothing worse than having a total stranger address you by name.

It would be different if I was wearing a name tag, but we don't wear them. And what is so bad about it, is they constantly say my name like it's going to change my opinion on something. Or, they say, 'can I see this Jessica. And this too, Jessica.' It makes me want to slap people.

I'm a risk assessor (think: Reuben from, "Along Came Polly") for a loan company. Basically, all this means is that I take ridiculously long lunch breaks & exhaust my Netflix account.

In between being lazy, I read credit reports, years of bank statements, bankruptcy reports, yadda yadda yadda and decide whether it would be an asset or liability to loan to individuals.

Seriously, there are no cons. My boss can be an absolute jerk sometimes, but he's hardly ever here. I've been here for three years and it's the best job I've ever had.

I work at a dELiA*s (www.delias.com. Yes! The catalog) as a "fashion rep." That's pretty much a glorified way of saying sales rep.

Pros:
40% discount! W00T!
No set uniform

Cons:
No hours
Bitchy bosses

I also work as a receptionist for a massage spa kind of place. I just started, so I'll update the pros and cons later. :p
We are REQUIRED to get a free massage a month, to "relate to the customer."

Pros: It's not too difficult. The hours are good + not over the top. No set uniform.

Cons: I constantly smell like chemicals. + it's only a summer job.

I work at Burger King. Kill me now...
Haha, can you tell I "love" my job? I especially like it when coworkers or creepy customers hit on me. Granted, that doesn't happen very often, but still...

Pros: My coworkers...on some days. I get 3 days off a week (Sunday-church, Tuesday & Thursday-for former job that may resurface), & customers with a sense of humor.
Cons: Minimum wage, irate customers, working the drive-thru.

By the way, I don't have a car so I have limited job opportunities around the area I live in. I also live alone so I don't have a chance at a ride to work. I have to depend on my own 2 feet to get me places...or my bike.
