I am one of those people who never got into movies, I was just into books, so one of my goals for 2009 is to watch 50 movies, I need some suggestions of movies to watch though :) Any ideas?

Monsters VS Aliens. xD I saw it last night and loved it. xD I'm a big fan of Pixar animations. Others I love are Finding Nemo, The Incredibles and Monsters Inc.

As for non-animated movies... Mona Lisa Smile, The Hairy Bird (released as Strike! in the US), White Oleander, Schindler's List, Chicago, Shop Girl.

I'll come back with more when I think of them. xD

Yes pretty much. You just get more drawn into the book I find. I read it way before the film came out and nothing in the book is obvious because it's narrated by the child, so when you get to the end it is so unexpected, you're just like WTF?!!

Thanks for no spoilers! :D I kinda wanna see/read the movie/book and it always gets so annoying when ppl randomly spoil something that isn't HUGE (like most ppl know that JKR named a character Albus Severus... not really spoiler anymore). ^_^

THANK YOU!!!! I didn't care for Slumdog. It was an okay movie. I do not think Oscar worthy. The good part of the movie is the beginning when they are young. The whole millionaire part and the teenage love story was not that good.

Hehe it's rare to find someone else who doesn't LOVE it. I've never been one to jump on the bandwagon of popular films though.
