DO NOT READ THE REPLIES IF YOU HAVENT SEEN THE MOVIE AND DONT WANT IT SPOILED
I fell asleep while watching the movie and missed the last half. So what did he do? Go though with his orginal plan and become an organ donor? I don't want to rent it just to watch the ending as I didnt really like the first half |

How did you know he was gonna be an organ donor?! :S I was so confused at first and almost fell asleep during the first like 3 quarters of the movie =P Only the last 10 minutes were worth watching. I thought it was a good movie but could've been summed up in half an hour.

Several years ago a good family friend of ours had a brain aneurysm that was fatal. Her parents decided to allow her organs to be donated. One of the deciding factors was when the doctor told them that roughly 7 pounds worth of organs can be donated from one person.

Ahaaaa That makes much more sense! I'm so glad I didn't know that before I watched the movie or else the ending would've been ruined for me =P

having just wiki'd it, i'd have probably fallen asleep too. and having a box jelly fish as a pet? gee i wonder if that's going to be important later on? 8| no one in a movie would keep one as a pet unless it was for a specific purpose. death.

Im impressed that you knew that he was going to be an organ donor, because I fully didnt understand the movie until right at the end... But I thought it was an incredibly stupid movie!!!
Though the box jellyfish was kinda cool.. The fact that they showed the suicide was NOT cool... |

That movie was so boring. I think it was actually a pretty good idea for a movie, but it just bored me

i thought it was absolutely godawful, one of will smiths worst movies ever. Major disappointment.

I actually liked it. I loved the concept. Maybe because I love slow paced movies and I would ravage Will Smith lol, but I think it was very good, very heart felt. Kind of confusing at first, but then I realized what he was doing and why and it was heart warming. A good tale like that is worth sitting through the slow parts for in my book. Will did a phenomenal job and the fact that he was willing to go through with it when he didn't have to showed conviction. most people kill themselve over stupid shit, not to help enrich other peoples lives. He gave a woman he loved a new heart, he gave a man the gift of sight andGod only knows what else with the rest of his organs.
It was an inspirational movie and well worth it. |

I agree. I absolutely loved it and I thought the plot was amazing. It was interesting and NOT something that you would expect out of a movie that began the way that one did.

I totally loved the movie, can understand why he did what he did because he felt he owed back what he took because he stole all those precious lives because he was doing something he should not have been doing, playing on his Blackberry while driving. The pain of what he did by taking those innocent lives was more then his human mind could stand so he turned his deepest depression into something good before he could no longer stand himself. You have to watch the movie through the actors eyes then you will understand that this is real life stuff. How many of you would be able to do the same if you took innocent lives because of carelessness?

I wanted to know why he wasn't charged with vehicular manslaughter since he was the reason all those people died, including his fiance.
;D All in all I thought it was a pretty good movie. Shows how being an organ donor changes peoples lives |

I just got done watching this movie so I purposely avoided this thread. ;D I too thought the movie was fantastic. I didn't think it was slow at all, and it really did show how an organ donor can save lives. I think it's so touching that he gave her his heart... and it's even more special because he really did love her. AWWWWWWW. lol I'm gonna cry again. :P

Pretty predictable, even down to the method he was going to use. But the acting was great. Well done.

Really, a thread from April 2009?
Why did someone post in this? |
Meghans Follie Post Count: 433 |
lol no kidding. it'd been so long I had to come back to see what the response was to!

Sorry; I was skimming through and noticed this move I'd just seen a few days ago on DVD. I didn't even think about looking at the date. Even if I'd looked at the date, I didn't realize it was frowned upon to resurrect an old thread. Again, I apologize for doing that.
