screw me over some more

My mom called me tweaking out about the financial aid letter we received a couple of days ago. I told her I would call the office tomorrow to see what's going on with it. I was not worried at all because I knew I filled everything out.

I woke up this morning not really thinking about it. She dropped off the papers along with Cari and Caley. I looked at it, and it really did not seem right. They gave me two small loans and thats it. In past years I managed to get a lot of pell grants and merit scholarships the school gives out. I tried not to freak out and enjoyed most of my afternoon.

After swimming for hours with my sisters, I decided to sit down and call the office. I talked to one lady at the financial aid office. She couldn't really say much to me, so she transfered me to the dean? Weird, but oh well. I asked her why I did not receive any merit scholarships and pell grants. She told me I was not eligible for those anymore because I graduated from my undergraduate program. It still does not make sense to me. She said if I was starting my masters program instead of doing just my teacher certification through the school for one semester, then I would be eligible for pell grants and merit scholarships.

How unfair!

Wow! I mean most places want a masters these days, but it seems like they expect you to make your Bachelor's Degree go somewhere while you are in school.
