Author: P. C. Cast + Kristin Cast

ISBN: 9780312606169
Review: In this installment in the House of Night Series Zoey Redbird soul has shattered and it up to her friends to bring her back the battle between Light and Dark has just part of it. Neferet definitely spawn into the darkness along with Kalona. Stevie Rae is imprinted with the Raven Mocker named Rephaim whom is also Kalona’s son. Stark goes into the Otherworld to save Zoey . It was most intense book. Most who read the series and some I’ve talked to and read said they didn’t like Burned. I did, reading the different POV and the intense moments and I couldn’t put the book down.

Author: Emily Bronte
Pages: 672
Format: Paperback
Genre: Classics-Literary-Romance
ISBN: 9780143105831
Review: It took me forever to read it, but I enjoyed it none the less. The common theme I’ve noticed was bitterness, and coldness. Love was evident in it I liked the love story. It seemed to be a lot of death as well. And at times Mr. Heathcliff, pissed me off. Expessally in the later chapters but yet I couldn’t help but like him. I like how the story is told in a unique way. I won’t say anymore since there might be some who would like to read it.

Review: Luz Kincaid is the known as the girl who had everything. Rich family and her father well known polo player. That’s not how the story starts she has to children a son Rob and a daughter Trisha. Her son Rob, doesn’t want to go to college but wants to prefect his polo playing and become a famous polo player but one problem he’s addicted to cocaine. Trisha wants to become a lawyer like her father. Drew Thomas who is a good lawyer and has money in his own right, he hires a young beautiful women to his law firm named Claudia whom he ended up having an affair and getting her pregnant and they end up getting married while the divorce proceedings were going on Luz takes her children to England then Paris France. Before that they had met Argentine Raul Buchanan who is dark and handsome Trisha has a thing for him but soon Luz too and while in Argentina so that Rob could improve his polo playing and buy some horses off of Raul they end up falling in love. Rob finds out about them and isn’t too happy about it and Luz finally tells Trisha that also puts a strain on their relationship. Tragedy strikes the Family and Luz losses herself bushes Raul away and it takes her assessment to leaves her and she finally finds herself.
I really liked this story I sympathize with the characters and I really enjoyed what I read. I’m not into romance novels but this is just a cheese romance novel. You are put into the lives of these characters and you go along with them. The ending is good and I was hoping for how it ended but it left me with a question did Luz ever better her relationship with Trisha? That’s my only wonder oh if Trisha actually found someone too.

Pages: 212 [213-219 cupcake recipes & then an exert of the next book =228pages all together]
Format: Paperback
Genre: Mystery - Bakery
ISBN: 9780425239247
Review: It’s one of those series of books that doesn’t matter when you start. I read this out of order because I felt obligated because my Aunt Kay gave me the book because she couldn’t read the font. Anyway, the start itself is okay. Even if some things were explained there seemed to me missing things from the first book. Which I think was “Sprinkle with Murder”. It was enjoyable but reading something after the pervious two books this was a sizzle.

8d. Title: Demon Glass [ Book #2 Hex Hall Series]
Author: Rachel Hawkins
Pages: 359
Format: Hard Back
Genre: Magic-Young Adult Fantasy
ISBN: 9781423121312
Review: Second book of the Hex Hall series was really good! Sophie thought she was a Witch but really she is a demon. And in this book soo many twists and revelations and shocks I thought it was these two charades raising demons but I didn’t think of one fact of Sophie’s life was factored into that as well. At the end of the book you are left thinking what was “bad” is it “good” and what is really going on. Rachel Hawkins did an awesome job setting up for the next book. I cannot wait now until that times out I am so into this story I really in love with all the character’s and I want to know how things going to play out.

Review: Who knew that romance and suspense could go together. I read a few of his books and I like them. Along with this one, he proves to be a good writer because I didn’t think he would write someone so psycho. I enjoyed the book. If you like these types of books you won’t be disappointed it’s good. Here the synopsis: Julie Barenson's young husband left her two unexpected gifts before he died-a Great Dane puppy named Singer and the promise that he would always be watching over her. Now, four years have passed. Still living in the small town of Swansboro, North Carolina, twenty-nine-year-old Julie is emotionally ready to make a commitment to someone again. But who? Should it be Richard Franklin, the handsome, sophisticated engineer who treats her like a queen? Or Mike Harris, the down-to-earth nice guy who was her husband's best friend? Choosing one of them should bring her more happiness than she's had in years. Instead, Julie is soon fighting for her life in a nightmare spawned by a chilling deception and jealousy so poisonous that it has become a murderous desire...

10. Title: Lisey’s Story
Author: Stephen King
Pages: 513
Format: Hard Cover
Genre: Suspense – Love- ??
ISBN: 9780743289412
Review: There is a man who got his writing polished. You don’t even have to like his books to see that his writing is polished and someone to look at as a writer the structure of his writing physically. I admire his style someone to look at, to at least help one as a writer to polish their own style. You can tell he’s been writing since the 70’s or something like that. I don’t know what his other books are like this is my first Stephen King book. I like this story. It’s personable and you find yourself inside along with Lisey and what her late husband left behind. Scot Landon, who’s a horror writer & there is another world called Boo’ya Moon a too beautiful place and frightening as well. Who doesn’t want to go to a place where something that can heal you and something that can suck you in? This is Stephen King and there is always a twist somewhere if you think it’s going to go one way but it goes in completely 380 degree turn.

Author: Dean Koontz

Review: I liked the story and I couldn’t put it down. It’s one of those books that makes you question is he really the Antichrist? Especially at the end of the book, it makes you wonder if the crazy old lady was right. I’m still thinking about it. [I saw the movie after I read the book and I liked the book better the movie had a different twist than the book.] So anyone reads him? Any books you suggest I read next?

It’s was okay what kept me reading was I really wanted to know what will happen to them. I would have liked it better if it had Inspector Lynleny in it but it was still a good story.

12. Title: Grimms’ Fairy Tales
Author: Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm
Pages: 342
Format: Paperback
Genre: Fairy Tales
ISBN: 9870140366969
Review: There are many, many stories about the Golden Bird, one of my favorites Rose- Bud which is sleeping beauty another one is Snow-Drop- this version better than the Disney. Others I really liked were, Jorinda and Jorindel, King Grisly-Beard, The Landy and The Lion which is like beauty and the best but different, Hansel And Grettel, that version is also different there is no house made of ginger bread this one is cooler, Ashputtel, The water of Life (always been my favorite even the kiddy one is good) The Four Clever Brothers and Cat- Skin. Supposedly this is the unabridged and complete version but apparently it’s not from some of the reviews I read. I liked it brought me back to my child hood days and watching the preschool show called, Grimm’s fairy tales. I enjoyed the read.

I really enjoyed "The Guardian" by Nicholas Sparks. I also read "What Came Before He Shot Her" - it was pretty good but long! I am reading a Jane Austen book right now!
