We have a load of Christmas temps at work which is fine. So we're all giving them a hand when they get stuck or can't remember how to do something on a till. However there is one annoyingly FAT chunky (seriously she goes straight up and down at the edges I would never call anyone fat in normal circumstances.) girl who has got everybody's back up. She's just so over the top and in your face. She said to one girl and I quote "You don't look like the kind of girl that would go to university."

How the hell can someone in the 21st century make such base assumptions by looking at someone. I can only suppose she's completly naive and/ or stupid and doesn't know she's irritating. It's not just me it is literally the whole checkout staff.

I really really hope she says something to me as I will be giving her a black belt verbal kicking. I'm a nice person if you're nice to me. Starting to annoy my friends and work colleagues is not a good idea.

Other work news: I saw on the internal jobs board there was a full time vacancy for a SOL (Store of Learning) Trainer which I applied for and then had the interview on Wednesday. Which I was greatful for as I had remembered to put my 100% happy to help badge back on my uniform. The interview went well I thought, asked them when I would know by and they said the weekend.

Wednesday and Thursday: I presume I went somewhere with the mrs but I really can't remember.

Friday: Work. Fiona and Anne came to my checkout and said "This is very unprofessional but if you still want the job it's yours." I immediately accepted as it's a) Full time and b) 9-5 hours with one 1-9 shift per week. Means I get some weekends off. Was presented with some congratulatory jellybeans by the mrs on my return to the house!

Saturday: All the weekend checkout staff are back from uni or college. The heating still hadn't been fixed. The checkouts sit beneath huge air conditioning fans that had been blasting cold air even when it was -9 the night before! On my second break sat and chatted with Dale. At the end of our break Gillian came in and said "See that girl over there she's bloody annoying." Looking up I see that yes it is the annoying chunky one herself. Then looking back towards the exit I see Siobhan walking up. Gave her a hug and said "Good luck!" I passed back the way after putting my phone and book in my locker. Gave Siobhan my jellybeans told her she needed them for putting up with chunky. I only had about ten left since Dale and I had been eating them.

Sunday: Again after 3 months of me doing the same shift and knowing I'm on till 23, then 5 after lunch then 37 if they can bothered. Still freezing my butt off as the heating wasn't fixed. They did actually bother to send me up to 37 at the end so Siobhan was happy as she's on 36 in front of me. She told me she went for a break and chunky put her arm around her! She better not do that to me otherwise she might end up flying through the air and landing on the customer service desk.
