I Never Should Have Crossed It

Sometimes I wonder what you see when you're looking at me
I wish you could see how strong I am trying to be
You talk about the old girl that I used to be but that's just no longer me

There's only so much hurt I can take before I become broken
I hear you and all the supportive words you have spoken
As strong as I may appear I am still broken

I am trying so hard to be everything you want me to be
But I know I'm falling so very short so here's my plea
It brings tears to my eyes to think of with all the times that we disagree

I know you're not perfect and neither am I
Feeling like I do now makes me want to cry

So I am just going to say I love you
And I hope that within time together we can enjoy the view
