Hurt when I see him with her

07/07/2011

I am in a GREAT relationship and have been for almost a year! We just had a baby girl together and I couldnt ask for a better more amazing man...yet when I saw my ex is now with someone else....it breaks me into a million tiny pieces!
I told him i still love him very much...yet we cant do anything about our feelings.
To be honest I dont think we would work out if we tried again...
I cant stand to see they're comments back and forth to eachother!
ITS KILLING ME!

I guess your relationship isn't so great after all. And maybe having a baby soon wasn't your smartest move.

I was thinking the same thing!
I think this person needs to put some serious distance between what she thinks she wants and what she currently has.... she wouldn't see all their comments back and forth to each other if she weren't friends with him on facebook.

I've noticed when a lot of people say they "can't stand to see" the comments people are leaving each other, what they actually mean is, "I can't stop reading/looking for every single comment they're leaving each other. I have to know everything!"

STOP READING THE COMMENTS! Delete and/or block your ex and his new girlfriend, and cut off all contact with them, unless you want your feelings for him to interfere with your current relationship.

I felt that way about my ex for a while after my fiance and I were dating. I was jealous of his wife (whom he left ME for) and still loved him and cared for him deeply. It wasn't until he was getting married a SECOND time that I decided talking to him was unhealthy for me and my relationship. You too need to move on. You have another man and a daughter. If you care about them, you will.

Jealousy can linger for a long time. It doesn't mean that you want to be with him again or even that you should try again. It just means you're still hurt over how things ended. That's my experience anyway.

I cannot stress this enough:

YOU CANNOT BE FRIENDS WITH YOUR EX.

It never works.

Your "amazing man" doesn't deserve to receive half your heart.

I disagree that it NEVER works.
I'm friends with my ex.
But for this particular instance, this person shouldn't even attempt until her feelings have been resolved.

Blessings..

I guess that I can concede that there are rare instances where you can be friends. Personally, it never worked out for me. My high school sweetheart and I tried to be friends but eventually we walked away from each other period. Not to mention he discovered he was gay and his boyfriend was jealous of me. I think that might have factored in.

It seems like you are trying to convince yourself your relationship you are in now is great, but in reality it's nothing compared to the one you used to be in.

It's ok to have residual feelings for your ex. This doesn't make you evil, it doesn't make you a cheater, it means you're still getting over it. Some people take longer to get over an ex, especially when that ex is doing well without them. When you feel jealous, acknowledge the jealousy, but look at the situation. You're happy in your relationship, have a new baby, and a good life. He may be a bit jealous of you, too.

You need to forget about your ex and focus on the family you have now. Don't let the past ruin a good future you can have.♥

You may not have as many true feelings for your ex as you think. Seeing the comments gets you fired up because no one likes to see their ex move on. We all like to think we're the best they've ever had. Reading comments makes you wonder "what if" when you should just focus on what you have and work on making it better! Delete the ex. Out of sight, out of mind, and you'll be able to give your baby the family she deserves.

That's quite a normal feeling.
