My hard Day at Work (poem, UNCOMPLETE)

08/03/2009

My hard Day at Work
8-3-09
By Jonathan

Came home from work physically and mentally drained
I said to Chrystal that I can’t keep going through the daily pains
She reached across the table to take my hand
With a soft smile she said we’ll make it through, We have a plan

The demands that was placed on me was too much for one man
Why can’t the boss understand?
I feel he’s using me like a slave
Do this, do that, or you wont get paid
Without a high school diploma, there isn’t much I can do
I just… don’t know what I can do

My lovely wife made us dinner without a complaint
I swear, I married a saint.
We ate, no words being spoken
It was delicious as always but I still feel broken

We cuddled that night on the couch watching the news
She softly kissed me and said she knew what would get rid of the blues
I raised my wary eyes to meet her sparkling green eyes
After a short kiss said “tomorrow, baby” all I could do is sigh

Tomorrow is another day in Dante’s infernal
Maybe I’ll be pop like popcorn being the sole curnal
I’m already burnt out, cooked well done
I am miserable, I forgot how to have fun

I woke up with my angel covering me like aquilt
Realizing I have work, I began to wilt
Intisapating the pain and stress of the day
I wish I could just run away

I got up and got ready for work
Chrystal made us pancakes which I ate with a fork
She held me tight and kissed me deep
In her sexy voice she says “that was just a sneek peek”

I am the luckiest man alive
No matter how down I get, my wife always makes me feel good inside

I smiled when I went into work
I even whistled, I must have looked like a dork
I put a little more into this day
As I thought” This is for my babe”

On my way home I stopped and got an assortment of flowers
Looking at the clock, she wont be home for another half hour
I take a quick shower
Getting dressed and putting on cologne
I hear a car, she must be home

Aw, that's such a cute poem! A lot of your poems are always so nice and home-y. :0)

ryc: Are you saying I couldn't get into Harvard? I wouldn't want to go there anyways, haha.

May the schwartz be with you too! I love spaceballs. And Mel Brooks.
