A letter to Stephanie

06/10/2009

A letter to Stephanie
6-10-09
Jonathan

Hi Stephanie, how have you been?
How is your career going? And your husband?
Do you have any children?

Not much has changed with me.
I’m doing some counseling, got an advance master’s degree.
Still in the same house, living with my family.

I’m not married, don’t even have a girlfriend
Still waiting, a hopeless romantic till the end.

I know I have told you
But you never let me show you.
How much I loved you.

When I first saw you, all those years ago
Petite and cute with your long hair that flowed
When ever I heard your voice, or even just the mention of your name, I would glow

I was in love with you
I had dreams of marriage, and spending my life with you
But it wasn’t the movies or a fairytale, it wasn’t to end like that, who knew?

So much to my sadness
I know I have to move on
So before I let you go, and forever you’re gone
This could be strange, or wrong

Every woman I meet, I try to compare to you
Every lady I meet, I want to know if they are a Jew
Every female that crosses my path, has to be outgoing and understanding and cute
Educated, and determined, hardworking and fun
Someone who will take my hand and just run

“You are one in a million” to quote GNR
For you Stephanie, oh sweet Stephanie, you will always have a special place in my heart

That was adorable. Love the rhyme of you with Jew. Quite unexpected, but I now know that you really care about your religion.

ryc2 - Don't feel jealous at all. My life is no picnic and never has been. (Though I'm sure you feel the same about yours. lol) I believe we are all who we are, living the life we have, for a reason. And that our paths cross at the perfect time for a reason. I'm all about the 'universe' or 'god' taking care of everything perfectly.

ryc3 - Dang!! I keep forgetting stuff!! LOL. I'm so glad that you can relate on being overqualified for the jobs that we have. It really sucks when you've gone through so much education only to not be able to find a job using what you've learned. It's a huge disappointment.

ryc - I would imagine that having a twin would change the birth order stereotypes.

I didn't get a brother until I was almost 6 - and then I was tossed to the wayside, basically. My brother was given all the attention. I was kicked out at 17, while my brother still half lives at home at 24. So, I would say I took on the mothering role because I took care of myself, etc.

What would another first born get out of taking care of me, though?

I think that you have described redfraggle perfectly.

I would love to go see the game with you. June 20 is a Saturday and that is perfect.
Wait - is it in Atlanta?
I live in Mississippi, silly!!!
And I have a good feeling about you, but we haven't met in person yet.

I think that is great for you to get out
