005 - Morning Thoughts (February 3rd, 2010)

02/03/2010

1. The things you’re grateful to have
An apartment. An awesome roommate. A laptop. Sunshine. Snow. Friends who love me. Internet. A piano.

2. The things you’re grateful NOT to have
Active crohn's. Complications. A power outage. Exhaustion.

3. What you don’t like about yourself
I'm too passive.

4. How you can change what you don’t like about yourself
Maybe stop overthinking things? One of the things I liked best about being so badly stoned all the time was never having time to lie, or to really think "hey, that's probably not bright to say". Sure, it gets you in trouble, but it's satisfying.

5. Your greatest qualities
I'm bright. I'm articulate. I'm stubborn. I'm beautiful. I instinctively understand people, and how they work. I can be very cheery. I am loyal, for as long as someone deserves it, and then I'm not.

6. Your life goals
I aim to have a gypsy van. I aim to be financially solvent. I aim to be more active in my community and family, while still keeping the distance I need to not go fucking insane. I aim to walk across Canada, drive across the continent, and canoe down the canal.

7. How yesterday’s problems are today’s motivation
I was too exhausted to do anything. Try to find a middle ground between burning out and crashing?

8. What you want to do today
I have to go to the therapist. I want to shower and take out the garbage. I need to make dinner. I need to hand out more resumes. I want to go for a walk. I want to write an entry about the Artist being here last weekend. I want to wash the windows, at least the front ones that I can see and are vexing me.

9. How you can make someone else’s day a little brighter
I'm going to pay the therapist in pennies. I'm *sure* she's going to love that.

10. You only have one life
Ready! Steady! Go!

Good advice, and thanks for sharing! I think I've got a multi-vitamin at home.. I had tuna for lunch today and I know that's got good omega-3's in it..

As far as dieting goes... no diets here I just try to eat healthy and save the junk food for special days. There's nothing I -won't- eat, I just try to be sensible when it comes to the balance of calories/fiber/fat

Ryc: You probably *could* take the P- off of it because mine always happen DURING not -BEFORE- =/ So what's in -that- particular kettle?

ryc: you are my hero of the day ^__^; I wonder if red raspberry pomegranate tea would have similar effects.. I assume so. I'll also look into the iron. I know that iron deficiency can contribute to my exhaustion too... so good point.

What disorder have you got (out of curiosity)? I've been hearing about more and more types of disorders since I started trying to manage my diet and lose weight. For instance, I didn't know until last year that there is an intolerance to wheat and gluten products....

Ryc: That sounds like a terrible experience I'm glad that surgery was an option that could help you though. You sound like a great person

The tea that I have is actually a satchet I can see the herbs and dried ingredients etc. no sugar added. I ♥ it

*goes to check brand*

ooooh.. I was mistaken =P the kind I have currently is just Pomegranate green tea. "An all natural blend of green tea with pomegranate, hibiscus, rooibos and orange peels"
