Of Princes and Ablets

I am trying to finish the pattern work on a camisole shirt that I am making, purple, part of a set - the cami and a matching shawl. But, I am having a hard time keeping track of the rows. There are 7 of them, rows, and the pattern is just a repeat of row 2-7. Ugh. If you crochet or can read patterns, you will understand my frustration, I am sure.

Kev got me something from Etsy called an Ablet. It is an abacus/bracelet with beads that you can use to count up to 99 rows. It's actually rather clever, the beads really stay wherever you move them to, even if you move or take the bracelet off. I got a pretty one with cream ribbon and green, blue and cream beads. Ingenious, I must say. Quite truthfully, I wish that I had come up with the concept. But, I didn't. So there.

I just put the movie THE PRINCE OF EGYPT in the dvd player. What can I say? I am not actually watching it, it is more like keeping me company, if you know what I mean. Background music/noise. So I don't have to sit here in silence and think my own thoughts.

Cameron has been home from vacation all week, and I am ashamed to say that I am glad that he is going back to school on Monday. I guess that you can spend TOO much goddamned time with your children.

He's in his room, and he has taken apart his iPhone, because his home button was not working. It (the phone) is in itty-bitty pieces all over his bed. Better him than me, is all that I have to say on the subject. Problem is, the kid LOVESSSSSS his phone, and if he can't put it back together properly, he will be beyond crushed.

Then again, when I took the battery out of my iPhone, to put a new one in, I somehow fucked up my volume button, I can't lower my sound without going into the home screen, but the up button works fine. I am just too paranoid/scared to take it apart again and try to fix something that I haven't a clue about. So, I deal with no volume lowering button.

He could have dealt with the home button being gone, he just has to home-screen it as well, but, noooooooooo, he had to take it apart. Ugh. Just keep your fingers crossed that he is able to put it back together properly.
