How I'm doing.
Two people asked how I was doing; and I'm doing great!
The adoptive mother had answered my mom's email, and said that she was scared for years about dealing with a birth mother, but when she met me all of her worries went away.
She said that she couldn't have asked for a better birth mother.
I feel the same way about the adoptive parents.
I could not have asked for a better couple to parent Niklas.
The things they do with him are exactly what I wanted for him.
He has gone on numerous trips, and she has his outside constantly.
He is always around family, and has a lot of cousins who are around his age.
She also told my mom that she would love to get together with me, so I can see Niklas, and so I wrote her back saying I would love to get together.
I know I said before that I didn't want to see him, but I think that when he gets older, he would like to see that I didn't forget about him, and that I wanted to see him and stay in contact with the adoptive parents.
I think that I will be strong enough to be able to see him.

I was adopted and the one thing I regret about my adoptive parents is they tried to restrain me from my Mom's family all because of my Birth Father [which she wasn't even alive at the time, and he had no interaction with her family, ever.] You can be in his life, you just don't have to raise him, you can be like an aunt. I've reconnected with my birth Mother's family and I only wish I had more time with them. So far all I have had with them are positive experiances. I'm so spoiled by them too, I love it!

Being that I am adopted in a closed adoption, I think that it will mean a lot to him. I don't have anything like that available to me. Good luck!
I think its a wonderful idea you guys are getting together. Make sure to take your camera. I always love looking back at pictures, and when they get older, you can always tell them that you were always there, from a distance
