86. Questions about me

10/21/2009

1. Where were you born?
Smithville, MO.

2. What do you consider a typical trait of your particular generation?
I don't know. Probably the lack of ambition and being unsure of what you want to do.

3. What were some of your favorite TV shows when you were little?
Angry Beavers, Rugrats, Ren and Stimpy, Daria, almost anything on Nick.

4. Did you get an allowance?
Sometimes.

5. Did you grow up with siblings? If so, what is your birth order?
Yes, I was first born.

6. What was your house like when you were little?
The same one it is now, but different. The basement was scary, the neighborhood had more kids. There were less fences, so I had free range of the neighborhood.

7. What was your family like?
A typical 4 people family.

8. What was very important to you as a child?
Reading and my grandmother.

9. How was your elementary school experience?
It was okay until 4th grade. The opened a new school in the district, and I had to go to it. All of my friends didn't. So, it sucked at first. But, eventually got better. I made friends. Found my niche. But, ever since 4th grade my grades dropped extremely.

10. How about middle school/junior high?
I was in the weird geeky niche. Got made fun of a lot, but for the most part I got along with people. I really had problems at home at this time. My mom and I fought a lot. I failed most classes. In eighth grade I skipped school, pretty much every other day and I ran away from home. When I came back everyone was scared of me. I really should have been held back, but got passed forward because they didn't believe in holding kids back before high school.

11. How was your transition to high school?
Not so smooth. I had to go to summer school that was supposed to help ease the transition because I was marked as a 'trouble child' because I skipped school so much. I did meet Casey in that class, though.

12. What were you like in high school?
I really acted out at first. Made sure to alienate myself from the majority of kids at school as much as possible. Played with drugs a bit until I got my first girlfriend. I was smitten with her, and she was straight edge, so I dropped everything. Even the boyfriend I had at the time. When that started to go sour, I started to talk to Jen. I really calmed down at that point. Talking to her kept me in line. I spent almost all weekends and nights at home talking to her online.

13. What did you normally do for summers?
Nothing. Really, I sat at home, for the most part. I would sneak out with friends some times. My family went on vacations, too. We went to Florida, Washington D.C., Texas, and Northern California when I was in highschool.

14. What kind of clothes did you like to wear in high school?
Black clothes from Hot Topic for the most part. My junior and senior year I started working in some non-hot topic clothes though.

15. Did you have a job during high school?
I worked at Subway my junior year.

16. What kind of music did you listen to?
Pretty much the same thing I do now.

17.Did you go to concerts?
A lot more than I do now. I really miss going to concerts.

18. How did you like your classes?
Hah, I failed as many as I could to graduate on time. The only classes I really tried in were art. My teachers always told me that I was too smart to not be getting the grades I could get, but I refused to put in the work for them.

19. Were you involved in extra-curricular activities?
I was in Scholar Bowl for a couple of years.

20. When did you graduate?
2006.

21. What did you do directly after graduation?
Jen came up to see me graduate, I went with her to Louisiana after for a month, then came home to go to Italy. When I came home after that I went back down to Louisiana to help her move up here.

22. Talk about your first serious relationship.
Jen and I met over the internet, through xanga specifically. She came to visit for a weekend, and we ended up kissing. But, she wouldn't let it become a relationship because we lived so far away from each other. She came and visited more and more and it got more serious after that. We were together for about a year, and then she moved to Missouri for me. She stayed up here for about 6 months, then we moved to Louisiana for a summer so she could finish her degree. Came back to KC so I could go to school. Really hated it here, moved back down here. We had issues down here getting everything to work out, so we ended up breaking up about 6 months ago. She joined the army, but we still talk, and are probably going to get back together.

23. What was life like in your 20s?
Ask me again in 8 years.

24. When did you discover your career path?
I haven't.

25. At what age did you first get married?
Haven't.

26. At what age did you first have children?
Haven't.

27. What kind of a parent were you/are you/?
--

28. What important lessons have you learned from life?
Nothing ever stays the same. Don't take anything for granted.

29. Do you have grandchildren?
I have to have children first.

30. What kind of grandparent are you/do you want to be?
The kind that spoils them senseless.

31. Do you believe in life after your body dies?
I would like to hope so. I don't really believe in the traditional heaven and hell.. I believe a spiritual plane of a sense, where you go until you decide to get reincarnated.

32. What is your basic philosophy in life?
I don't really know yet. I'm not sure what to take of life at the moment.

33. Do you have many regrets?
No. If anything was different I wouldn't be the same person I am now. I can't really handle the idea of me being anyone else.

34. If you died today, would they say you lived a good life?
Probably not.

35. How would you like to be honored after your body expires?
Cremate me, then shoot me into space please.
